DD 4 and I are going to WDW in late august. We will be going to the Animal kingdom. I have a question about the bats on the the Maharajah Jungle Trek. Can you bypass them? My dd loves tigers but is terribly afraid of bats. We have never done this attarction before and I would like to on my upcoming trip. I do not want to scare my dd though.

So if someone has done this trek before could you please let me know how the bats are exhibited that would be great!

yes you can bypass the bat house. you just continue on the trek past the bat house & doors.

You can by-pass them easily. You have to go into a special area to see them, and once you do, they still a little ways away, behind glass.

I love the bats! I stay in there while everyone else does their own thing. I wish the staff members actually knew more about the bats. I love the little bat skeleton!

IloveStitch is correct there is no glass. There is a bypass and they are afraid of bats I would use it. These are HUGE bats and even though I think they are cool they will freak them out. Maybe you can sneak through and meet them on the other side.

There is a bypass but you still have to enter the building that has them. Just walk on through and don't look. Be warned that you can also see them througn the side after you leave as well if you look through the window.
