AK at night? How is it?

I know that FOL hasn't opened yet. But who has gone and enjoyed the night time stuff? We are going in Sept. They haven't extended the hours yet the week we are (8th - 17th) but the first week in Sept its open till 11 so assuming that they will extend them, I was planning on going in the am and then taking a mid day break and going back. Our kids are 7 and 4 and we do have a lot we want to do at AK. We prob wont stay till close but Im hoping to get back around 6 and then have a few hours. Use a 4th fast pass hopefully. Is the Night safari worth it? How have crowds been? Are all the rides open or just Safari, Everest and Kali? We are planning on doing Dino land when we return and then other things. I know characters stop meeting earlier. I really am excited to see the tree of life awakening. Is there numerous times it happens? Is it on the maps the times? Thanks

I loved After Dark. I watched one of the dance parties, rode EE and KS in the dark - KS was cool but only because a Bongo walked right along side the truck, otherwise you couldn't see much.

I wandered around enjoying the nighttime lighting and stood for an hour watching all the awakenings at the Tree of Life. I skipped the Jungle Book:Alive this time. I saw it right after it opened from the Dining Package area and wasn't impressed.

DS23 and his buddy went and liked it, but he warned me, "When you go in Sept, keep in mind that it is unusually dark on the walkways." He added that it was as dark at night as it was hot during the day. Lol.
