I had planned on doing the easyWDW morning touring plan at AK, but just realised that the night before, we are going to see Wishes at 10pm (it's my daughter's 8th birthday). By the time we get back to Pop, it could be a late night. I'm worried that the kids might struggle to get up in time for rope drop at AK the next morning.

Do you think the touring plan would still work if we started it an hour later?

Our Fast Pass window opens up tomorrow, so I'm trying to finalise our schedule.

I would say you will do okay, just maybe a bit more crowded. Relax, enjoy.

He actually has a "late start" plan in addition to a RD plan that works very well. We've never made an AK RD and have never had any problems getting everything done. I wouldn't recommend a hour late start, though....that's when the masses will be arriving. I'd push it later to noon and plan on staying until close.

Also, FP availability at AK is good pretty much always, so there's rreally no need to finalize plans for that day right when your window opens. With a late start in October, following Josh's plan, you likely won't need any FPs there anyway.

Late afternoon also tends to be a lower crowd time at AK. People really start clearing out after the parade. Easywdw has always helped me tremendously on my trips. Good luck and enjoy!

Is the parade still going on? I had heard they cancelled it. I think lots of folks still view AK as a half day park so imagine it does clear out in the afternoon.

Thanks, everyone. I will do as you have advised, and follow the later arrival touring plan on easy WDW. It means we probably won't get time for DTD, but I think is more realistic with what the kids are going to be able to cope with.
