AK a.m. EMH?

Quick question.

The hours listed for the day we are going are 9:00-5:00. Does this mean the park actually opens at 8:00 for onsite quests? And 9:00 to the GP? Since we are GP, is there a GP line of peeps usually waiting? Do they let you in exactly at 9:00? Just wondering how early we should arrive. Thanks!

EMH morning hours start ONE hour prior to the regular hours for the park. If you are not an onsite guest, you will be let in at the regular park time and yes, there is always a line when the park opens.

Just a thought on my part, but EMH mornings are CRAZY especially at Animal Kingdom. If you can avoid going to AK on an EMH morning, I would highly suggest it - whether or not you are staying onsite!

1- If DAK is also listed as being the AM EMH park that day, it does mean that.
2- If DAK is also listed as being the AM EMH park that day, it does mean that.
3- Yes, sort of. You'll see lines of non-Resort guests waiting at multiple gates.
4- Oh, maybe a bit earlier. It can vary.
5- Well, 8:45-ish.
BUT, it is not generally advisable to go to the AM EMH park the morning of the EMH if you can't attend the AM EMH.
By the time you get inside, the lines will already be pretty busy with the AM EMH guests.

Better to go to that park in the morning on a day when it is not the AM EMH park.

3. yes, at the turnstiles, they will keep certain ones clear for on site guest only
4. generally yes, but occasionally they will let you in early, we have experienced that a few time and last week AK opened 30 min before posted time pretty much all week. There is no way to know if this will happen on your day to plan ahead, it is completely random.

FWIW EMH will bring in more crowds than non EMH day, if you are looking for low crowds you may want to consider visiting on a non EMH day, espically since you can't participate in the extra hours.

You may want to go to the turnstiles outside the "back" of Rainforest Cafe.

Very few Guests know about this entrance and the line should be very short there.

Also,I have often been let into the Park there a minute or two before the Guests at the Main Entrance.

I planned to go to AK on Labor Day, figuring visitors will have already left or be leaving and locals would not pick AK as a one day visit. Then they added Am EMH. But once I get a plan in my head, I can be pretty stubborn so I didn't change it. Do you think Labor Day will be slow enough to balance out EMH? We have another AK day planned for later in the week so we don't have to see/do it all that day.
