Sorry if this has been covered, AT's fare for our itinerary has gone down $6 per passenger per leg, not Earth shattering, but hey, it's a round of Stellas at the Rose & Crown. Anyone know if I can just easily get the new rate or if there's a fee or other hoops I'd have to jump through?

Thanks,
Bill From PA

It would be in the form of an airtran credit.. and the amount of time you will spend on the phone will probably cause you to spend more than that in alcohol! I believe the credit is in each ticketed passenger's name. They can also charge you a fee, which would be much bigger than your fare change, but generally don't.

I would just keep watching and if it goes down more, then worry about it.

Thanks for the info. This is a point of pride for me. This is the first time in 10 WDW trips where I bought airfare and then had the price go down. Can't win them all.

I would be more worried about your flight still being there, when you are ready to go to MCO.

I just called and got a $64 credit in my name. Its not alot but its something. I did have to wait no hold forever but hey.. its like that everywhere now a days. They didnt charge me a fee or give me a problem, just gave me the credit and that was it. Good luck!

Yes. I did this a couple days ago and it was very easy. I wasn't on hold long. I got the credit for the decrease in our flight to MCO for both DH and myself. The credit for $54 total went to my AirTran account (maybe because I paid for both tickets originally?) I paid NO fee to change to the lower cost fare. I consider it an easy $54 earned and it was definitely worth calling.

You and my DH think exactly alike.

On hold for 15 minutes, only to get an operator that said very rudely "No, we do not offer any refund or adjustment. Our ticket prices vary from day to day, even hour to hour."

Why am I always the one that gets turned down? :headache: :headache:
I'd love a $16. per ticket reduction (16*3 = 48. Almost the cost of an MVMCP ticket)

If you have the time to wait on hold, I'd call again. It probably depends on which customer service rep you get. The one I got Sunday morning was very nice.

Bill -

Thanks for bringing this up. I just now checked the fare for tickets that I purchased about a month ago and noticed that the price had gone down. I know that SW will give you a credit when this happens but I didn't know that Air Tran would. I just called Air Tran and sure enough they gave me a credit that is good for 12 months from the day I originally bought the tickets - and there was no fee for doing so. I just saved $351 for my 9 tickets. I'll meet you in the Rose & Crown for that pint you talked about!

I called last night when I noticed that my PHL-MCO fares had decreased considerably and my MCO-PHL had dropped a bit...I now have a $156.00 credit good until 4/11/2009

Questions...can I use these funds for business class upgrades at the check in counter or do I have to use them for actual tickets?
Also, do I have to fly by 4/11/2009 or do I just have to purchase my tickets by then?

Those are actually good questions. I'd like to know, too!

Great news. Your savings would just about cover our R&C tab for the 8 days we'll be there, be sure to make good use of it!

Anyone know the answers to these questions?

I was told in Dec of last year that the flight had to be completed by the extension date (which should be 1 year from original date of booking)

although i'd suggest interested peeps call them directly & ask

fyi, i've have better luck dealing with the rewards dept as to any issues

I called and requested a refund a couple months ago on our October flights because the price had went down. They granted the refund but charged me $10 for calling. :headache:

I just discovered that the fare for our Dec flight dropped. I called to inquire about a credit, and the woman was helpful, but she said that she would not be able to do that without costing us even more money because we had used a voucher (from the Mother's Day coupon sale) that had now expired.

No biggie for me, but thought I'd give a heads up in case anyone else is in the same position.

I have 8 tickets for Sept that went down a total of $256. They credited my A+ Rewards acct for $136.
They charged a $15 per person phone fee.

Same here, $240 drop in price became $120 in credit with the $15/person fee. As long as they don't go bankrupt before next year, that will help with my next trip.

You bought non-refundable tickets and they are giving you credit for the price difference (minus change fees of course). Not sure why the :headache: applies?
