anyone ever fly phl to mco, they show some kind of on-line board, but my cheap tix don't get a seat assigned, does this mean i can't online board, and how does that work anyway? do i do it 90 min before i leave for the airport?

You can do it 24 hours before your flight. Just sign in, and you will get the choice to choose your seats, then you can print your boarding pass.

I do this when I am on the road and don't have a printer. I sign in and choose my seats and let the airport print the boarding pass for me.

Exactly as safetymom has described. Just get on airtran.com 24 hours up to 90 minutes before your flight and pick out your seats and print your boarding passes.
They also have kiosks at the airport where you can do the same. But if you have the option it's better to do from home and as early as possible to get your preferred seats.
