Airtran releases Dec. dates--YIKES!

I have been anxiously awaiting airtrans release of dates for my Dec. dates and this morning they were there if you use the flexible date option. They want $314 for one way from Philly. Are they out of their minds? They only have the most 2 expensive options available. I couldn't believe that that is what I have been waiting for. Back to the drawing board,I guess.

I'm sure those Airtran rates will come down. They are ridiculously high and I don't think anyone will actually purchase these tickets. I think you just have to be patient. I checked Airtran for Detroit to Orlando in the middle of December (not near Christmas) and the roundtrip fare is over $650 per person. It's a crazy rate at the moment. The rates will come down.

This morning I had Air Trans round trip non-stop flights from PHL to MCO for Christmas week on Orbitz for $223 a ticket. Their site took me all through the booking process. Even took my credit card info. When I went to complete my purchase, it took me back to my search results page and said the flight was not available When I called they said it was a web site error and I did not have a reservation. I then tried to book again, and the flights were not there anymore. I just did a search on Expedia and they have PHL to MCO for $220. The return flight is too early for me. I like leaving later in the day. How can these sites have tickets for December and the Air Trans site does not?

Air Tran had my November dates last night. They only had the two most expensive categories available. They were $309. pp on our return flight. The flight to MCO is only $89.00 pp. I am going to hang tight to see when they open the lower rate seats. I'm not paying $309.00 pp for just the return trip on Airtran when I can get $222. r/t with United.

You have to select flexible dates and then put in your info. They are there, at a ridiculously high price. I wish I was kidding.
