I was wanting to know if anyone know if you have to use canceled airlines tickets for the same person? I was needing to cancel my husbands ticket but I was wanting to buy one for my mom. Can I buy one using the money from his ticket?

AirTran will deduct $75 from the ticket price and the rest will be a credit on your A+ Rewards account. I have been able to use credits for other people, but you might ask AirTran first.

When flying AirTran, I always book my children's tickets through my account. I don't get A+ rewards for them, but their tickets are linked to my account. When I've had to cancel on of them, the remaining funds (after the cancellation fee) were refunded to my account and I was able to use them in any way I wanted -- for seats, baggage, or to book a ticket for a different person.

Hope for a flight time change then you can ask for a full refund of the ticket. I did this and not only did I get a refund in full, the price I paid for the original ticket also suddenly showed up on their booking page, so I was able to buy a new tickets for my DD friend for the original same price. Worked awesome
