my 25 year old son was meeting us in WDW on Sun 1/9. He called and said he would not be at MCo until Mon. am instead of Sun midnight, Airtran had mechanical problems and he had to stay in Atlanta overnight(Awful experience -another story). They did give him a round trip anywhere for a year. Glad they discovered the pilot before he boarded the plane. Have to give them credit for securtiy.
All ended well.

They caught him before he flew and fired him, sounds like they handled the problem very well.

This seems to happen about once every few months on one airline or another. Given enough pilots, some fraction of them will have problems with alcohol. I wouldn't be worried about flying AirTran because of this. (And I have no plans to, so there is no "I hope it's okay" bias.) This can happen to any airline, at any time.
