Airtran On-line Check-In

I was hoping you all could help me out and let me know what information is required for on-line check-in with Airtran. My husband is going to be doing it for us while I'm unavailable, so I want to be sure he has all the information he needs (i.e. driver's licence numbers, social security numbers, birth dates, etc.)

All you need is your reservation number I believe. It has been a while since I did it.

I believe all you need is your registration number on-line. You want to remember to bring your paperwork with you for your check-out flight to present at the check-out desk with your room card and photo ID.

We used it a couple weeks ago. All we needed was the reservation number. One thing you may want to double-check is if your id names exactly match your names as listed on the reservation. During our vacation, we received an email that this was a recent change by TSA. Ours didn't have middle initials, even though our drivers licenses have them. We didn't have any problems when we left for our vacation, but for the return trip, the TSA agent at Orlando asked us verify our address and told us to make sure everything matches up next time.

Good one; I forgot about that! I just booked my airfare yesterday and my two friends are booking it today that are going with me.

I told them I could not stress enough that if the entire reservation did not read exactly as it does on their photo ID, we will risk being turned away at the gate.

Also have your credit card if you are checking a bag. You can pay the checked bag fee online and print a receipt for it.

This is still a non issue. Even though AirTran has a place for you to enter your middle name in your online profile it still doesn't print on the boarding pass. Or at least it didn't when we flew May 30th. So even though you gave it to them, it doesn't mean it will print on the boarding pass. This is still a process in transition and it is not necessary that the ID matches the boarding pass. Though you are supposed to provide it when booking the reservation.
