Airtran March Break

I'm not completely sure, but I've read some use Holiday Inn Express (I think!) ... friends used Hilton Garden Inn or something like that (but that would be pricier) ... I'm sitting her humming and hawing and I should be getting to bed!! I am a teacher and I have interviews with kindergarten parents tomorrow ... I'll be sleepy from dising and trying to book flights!!!

Do you know if you'd book the insurance they offer? Does our credit card protect us if the weather was absolutely horrible? Can we get insurance here to cover it? It is only $15 / pp ... so not horrible ...

I feel you pain!!!

P.s. West Jet was at $5400 in June when I started looking!!! last year we flew WJ and paid just over $3000. Can't believe the difference this year and last. That is why I think all of the US rates will be higher too!

Well I booked this morning ... I was getting nervous. I may or may not have done the right thing, but I feel better knowing I have a booking. We paid $2600 there and back for six of us. That is half of what we would pay for booking with West Jet, so I am ok with it. I am not a good risk taker, so the wait was going to kill me!!! Plus we booked a day earlier so we get there on Friday night and fly home a week from the following Monday.

The ONLY wrench in that plan is that there is a possiblity I will be offered a full time position at my school ... imagine the first thing I thought of when my principal told me, was OMG I just booked my tickets to Florida!!! I can't take the Friday off before March break and the Monday off after (I can if I stay half time). Anyways, it isn't guaranteed because they have to wait to see if anyone at another school has been declared in the first week and they will be bumped into it before me.

So today has been a CRAZY day

I could use full time, but I did resign half of my contract after my second daughter was born. I always said I'd stay that way until she was in grade one and she is just starting JK this year. So we'll see ... I was kind of excited at the prospect of full time and a better pay ... but the trade off would be less time with my "baby"!!!

Okay if the CAA deal doesn't come out soon, I'am going to freak . I went to book my ADR's today and because the reservation isn't in yet due to the CAA sale I can only book ADR for 1 day today. Then call tomorrow for my other one and so on until next week. Then I read this thread last night and Delta had flights one way for 89.90, gone now. I can't book a flight with no sale at CAA. If the CAA deal is a no go this year then so is WDW I'm getting worried with the flights everyday getting higher and higher. We have never flown, always drive and this is getting me frustrated. I don't want to book my trip and then find out it is going to cost me a arm and leg to get there by plane. Driving isn't a option because the van can't go down again to Florida. If it does then we will need to buy a new one. Then for sure WDW will be a no go.

Very frustrated.......

Okay, now I am having a heart attack.

Air Tran is now US$1850 for our flight.

I hope Southwest can come to the rescue...

O.k so as twice before I waited too long....Monday it was 900 for our 4 tickets on airtran and yesterday morning it was 1115 and when I finally went to book last night it was 1345 for our 4 tickets....
I booked anyhow because I don't think southwest is gonna be any better and the seats are flying outta there,,, crap.
the only good thing is i didn't have to pay extra for seat selection cause the fare wasn't the lowest....still lower than 2600 from toronto
yeah I now know we are definitely going....March 5-15th.......
now....i had planned on PoP because the CBR pool will be closed and we do like POP but now am second guessing....I will wait and see if a code/package canadian rate comes out and may change to POR.....ahhhhh the stress!

I'm so happy you booked a fight ,,I'm going down March 9th to the 16th. I just booked my first stay at DVC --- OKW 9th to the 13th. and I am trying to figure out where to stay the last two days,,,oh the fun of planning.. have a great time planning
