ORLANDO, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 15, 2001--AirTran Airways, a
subsidiary of AirTran Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:AAI.N), announced today that
its engineers and mechanics have completed the task of installing
stainless steel bars to reinforce the cockpit doors on its entire
fleet of Boeing 717 and McDonnell Douglas DC-9 aircraft. The new
cockpit door upgrades, designed by AirTran Airways' engineering
department, will prohibit entry by unauthorized persons into the
cockpit and will make the cockpit door impenetrable during flight.

I believe this information is incorrect. Jet Blue announced reinforced cockpit doors were installed about 2 weeks ago. It was on MSNBC.
