I check every day and today I found the rest of the schedule for March at Airtran. Now I can book my flights for our March trip as soon as the rates drop to something more reasonable than about $800 round trip for each of us!

I just checked to and noticed the rates are outrageous!!! Now the waiting game for a reasonable fare...hopefully soon!

I just looked at our dates (April 1-9)...$740.00 per person!!!!:lmao:

You have GOT to be kidding me!!!

Well...Southwest here I come...just have to wait until 10/5 to see where they come in!!!

Airtran initial rates when they open new dates are ALWAYS way too high. It will take a week or so and they will be down to reasonable rates to book. I don't know why they do it, but they do it consistently.

I sure hope they drop by $200 for us! One way from MCO to Bloomington, Illnios usually is $85-115. They want $367 per person for the return flight only.

I bought my outgoing flights at $112 because I thought that was decent for spring break travel. I don't know what I'm going to do if I can't get lower fares for the return. We may be up a creek without a paddle.

I am waiting for April 24 (Easter Sunday) to open on AirTran because I like their non-stop morning flight from Bloomington, IL. I have already booked the May 2 return on Delta ($79 + taxes) when they had a brief drop in prices.

AirTran's lowest (non-sale) fares have definitely been creeping up! I bought a BMI-MCO ticket for Oct. 23-30 at $99 each way, and was able to get a $20 credit when the flight to Orlando dropped to $79. I am paying $109 for MCO-BMI on December 17, and $109 from BMI-MCO on February 24. Now the fare seems to be $112, and I can only imagine what it will be for Easter!

**Looking at fares in early March between Bloomington and Orlando - the $112 fares are now $125 or more.
