AirTran Expertise Needed!

When can you expect an Airtran flight time to stop changing? Based on reports on this board, I understand that flight times often change for Airtran flights. This has now happened to me - I'm booked on a flight that is now leaving 2 hours earlier than when I booked. I have not received any notice from AirTran - I just noticed by looking at their ebsite. The change in time actually is a medium-big deal because of our dog care arrangements. I can deal with the change - I just need to know if I should or I shou ld wait and see if it changes again back the other way? Advice greatly appreciated.

They say you can't change flights, etc but we had the same thing happen to us and they were VERY good about putting us on a different flight closer to the original time. As far as when they'll stop changing, I'm not sure (sorry!). But if you email or call them they will put you on a flight that works for you for no additional charge. We were even able to get a credit on our account and fly out of a closer airport but I wouldn't count on that, it just happened to work out that way.

Just contact them and explain your situation!

We too one time had a time change, and they let me pick a new time without penalty or the fare increase.

I wish I could tell you when they stop changing their flight times, but I don't know. I like AirTran for a lot of reasons, but they make me crazy with their constant changing of their schedules. I always fly their first flight out to MCO because they don't change this by much, if at all. It's during the day that they are always moving things around, and sometimes cancelling flights. You will likely get an e-mail at some point. We got one a LONG time after I noticed the change on their web site. As others have said, if you need to make a change call them. They should not charge you anything because it is their fault and not yours.

Our flight in June changed last weekend to almost 2 hours earlier...but this was to our favor! We have a direct flight and took a later one because the price was incredible. Was so excited last weekend I could hardly believe the change!!!

But if this is a prob for you, I would call. Of all the companies I've flown with, Sun Country is the only one that has called to tell me of a change...and it was a personal call. Everyone else, I just check weekly online. As soon as we had a prob with AA this fall flying to Long Beach...changed so connecting flight left 15 min after our first flight landed...they just rebooked us on the earlier flight, no prob. That was in Aug, we flew in Oct. and it didn't change again.
