We had booked a direct flight out of Orlando on January 26th at 6:48 pm. Well I just checked our itinerary and they've taken away that flight and rebooked us on a flight with a connection in Atlanta. I was going to call and have them put us on the earlier direct flight but that would mean DME would be picking us up so early on our departure day which would stink. We've decided to take the later flight with the connection so we can have more time in WDW. Now I'm nervous. What do I need to know about changing planes? Do they move the luggage for us or do we have to go get it and recheck it for the next plane? So the day before we leave I need to check in for 2 flights and print 2 sets of boarding passes? Help!! :confused3

Connecting is very easy. You simply get off the first plane, proceed to the gate of the connecting plane and wait to board. They take care of the luggage for you. I am one that doesn't mind connecting. In fact, Airtran made a change to our non-stop flight. Please note your wrote direct. Direct is a flight that makes a stop or more, but you don't have to get off the plane...... I am sure you meant Non-stop. Due to their change, I had them put us on the 6am flight that connects in ATL and on to MCO. I am getting to MCO 7 hours earlier with the connection.....

Too many people worry so much about connecting. For many people, connecting is a normal part of flying.....

Thanks...I have never flown with a connection before so I'm nervous. So I will be checking in for each flight separately the day before...or when I pull up my confirmation number it will check me in for both?
Also, is it one baggage fee for the entire trip or for each part of the trip?

When you pull up your confirmation it will check you in for both. You will be able to print boarding passes for each flight right there. It is very easy.

You only pay the baggage fee per way, so you will pay one fee going to MCO and then another going home from MCO... you don't have to pay for your MCO-ATL and ATL-Home flight...... there is just one fee for that....
