This is my first time flying.

I just checked in for my flight tomorrow online.

I know this is a dumb question, but what is the point of checking-in so early? I had to print boarding passes. What do I do with these?

Do I still go to the Airtran counter at the airport when I arrive?

I feel foolish asking these questions,
thanks bunches!

We still went to the Airtran counter and check in and checked our luggage but it was a separate line that was must shorter.

Did you have advanced seat assignments? If not, the benefit of doing online check-in is to get your seats. Most of the cheaper fares do not offer seat selection at time of booking.

Ok, that must be the reason why then.

It said to pick out our seats.

I printed boarding passes. Do I still check-in at the Airtran main counter?

If you have luggage to check, you can check-in at curbside check-in or go inside to the counter. If no checked luggage, go straight to the gate.

We have used AirTran and love printing out our boarding passes at home. Since we only have carry-on luggage we skip the AirTran window at the terminal and head straight to security and then on to the gate. Saves a lot of time.
