I have always exclusively flown SW. However, even with the current fare sale my flights are ridiculous from PVD. Around $400 round trip. I am flying down to FL on Thur 11/4 and back on Sunday 11/5. I know Sunday is one of the reasons my fare is so high but the dates cannot be moved due to childcare arrangements. Anyway, Airtran currently has $84 nonstop flights both down and back. Great times too - noon both ways. A significant savings. I am worried they will cancel the nonstop flights or move the times significantly. Anyone have any experience with this? I know I found many people with bad experiences with Airtran. I think we tend to speak about our bad experiences before good ones though. I can either fly from Providence or Boston. I am actually going to Sarasota so I can fly into Sarasota, Tampa, Orlando, or Ft Myers if anyone has other ideas.
