AirTran at MCO which Terminal

Its Airside 2, I think their gates are 101-110. I'm not sure if their counters are still on B or if they have moved to A with Southwest yet. The airport website still has it listed as Terminal B. We flew Southwest the other day and it didn't look to me like they were integrated yet but I wasn't paying that close of attention.

Has anyone taken a flight (or picked up someone) for AirTran recently. I am getting conflicting answers from different websites.

The reason I need to know is that it may be possible for my nephew flying in on Delta to take the tram to the Main terminal and then take the tram over to AirTran to meet his sister before she leaves MCO. But I first have to know where AirTran is located at MCO.

I just called long distance to MCO and got this info.

Both AirTran and Delta fly into Terminal B. AirTran is at Airside 2 and Delta is at Airside 4.

When I told her what I was attempting to find out (nephew meeting sister) she said that it would depend upon the day and hour of the flights. She said that Delta has incoming International flights on certain days/hours that would close off this access. As I have not booked my nephew's flight yet I wasn't able to find out if the meeting would be possible.

The security areas are not A & B. Gates 1 to 59 have one security area, gates 60 to 129 are another security area. Delta gates are in 60 to 79, AirTran is in 100-129. He could take the tram over but the question is if they would allow him to get on the other tram. The tram exits to one side that leads out to the main terminal. He would have to try to cross over without exiting security. If security sees him, they may stop him.

To get from the gates 60-99 (B; airside 4) trams to the gates 100-129 (A; airside 2) trams there is a crossover area just after you get off the trams but before you come out into the main terminal open area (like moving around within one end zone of a football field). I have never seen a rope or Tensabarrier between the set of tram platforms for the 60-99 area and the set of tram platforms for the 100-129 area. To get from gates 1-29 (A, airside 1) AND gates 30-59 (B, airside 3) to gates 60-129 you must exit security and go down to the other end of the main terminal (like going from one goalpost to the other on a football field).
