Airtrain Credits

My husband has enough credits to get a business class upgrade. We will be flying in February and had already decided we were going to upgrade to business class for this trip. Can I go ahead to get his "voucher" for the upgrade now even if we aren't flying until February?

I did this last year & I can't remember if I got my voucher early or not. You can't actually see if you can use it til 24 hours prior to the flight - you have to call 24 hours prior to see if there is room to upgrade. Unfortunately once you get the voucher there's no guarantee that you will be able to use it, if the business class is full on your flight.

Thank you, found out we both have enough to upgrade to business class and the "points"will expire a week after we leave so we will either use them or lose them.

I think once you get the vouchers, the vouchers are good for up to a year...but someone please correct me if I'm wrong. I agree, don't lose them - use them!

I just called Airtran, they said they are good for 1 year from the date they issue them, so if I have them issued today, they would be good for another year.
