We are going to WDW in June. We want to get a Limo for our party of seven to transfer us from the airport to the CBR. I was looking at Happy Limo. We need to stop for groceries and they offer 15 minutes to shop. Has anyone used them or any other service that they would recommend or avoid. Thank you - LJ01

I would like to know the same thing. Maybe not a limo but the best way to get to Disney from the airport. Thanks

I plan on using Happy Limo when I go in May, due in part to the endorsement given by Mary who runs mousesavers.com.

Also, if you check her website, she offers a code that will save you a total of $5 for your round trip.

Many people like Happy Limo because they include their gratuity in the total fee, so you don't have to worry about tipping. I think that in itself is nice.

I've always taken the Mears shuttle in the past but will not do it anymore as it takes a long time to get to Disney once you get on the bus as there are several pickups in other areas around the airport. Gosh, when you get on the bus, you just want to get there as fast as you can, but you do a lot of waiting on other people before that happens.

It's also a more economical choice to take a limo or towncar if you have a group...

Hope this helps.

We, too, used to take Mears, but found it to be a real pain, especially now that we have AP's. We just want to check-in & get to the parks! :)

The last couple of trips we have used Tiffany Town Car & been very happy with their service. My MIL & family have used them too & not had any problems. I believe they have a coupon on their website, too. HTH!:)

There is a lot about the different limo services on the transportation board. We are using Tiffany Town Car

I used Lorden Transportation in November. Very good service and communication!

I know Webmaster Pete ask's us to use FLtours because they support the DISboards but they are $10 more expensive than Tiffany. I'm using Tiffany IN 5 DAYS!!!!!

We've used Tiffany Town Car twice and have been happy. The drivers were excellent.

One slight slip up though. If you're dropping off at one resort and picking up at another - confirm the night before. We waited and waited at the Boardwalk Inn and called to discover that the driver was at the Wilderness Lodge where we'd been dropped off eight days previously. The driver had known we were changing and had been said "see you at the Boardwalk." The lady on the phone was a bit snippy. Anyway, the same driver picked us up after Disney told him where we were. We made the plane no problem.

We are using Southern Elegance for our trip this Easter. They have has some great reviews on Limos.com and were also recommended by DIS user 'Ode'.

Plus, the price was the cheapest - and we got quotes from lots! :teeth:

$165 return airport transfer

Thank you for the replys. When work slows down I am going to get some prices. -LJ01

and was very happy (no pun intended;) ). We had a party of 6 (including an infant) and it was more economical than Mears. The grocery stop was good too because then I didn't need to pack diapers, breakfast foods, snacks, etc. I know my husband appreciated the lighter suitcase!

We used ******** - great Limo - with TV for Disney DVD's for the kids.

Our grocery stop was 20 min (maybe 1/2 hour).
15 mins seems to short.
Check out is at least 10 min if lines are long.

We will do a limo on our next trip.
DS graduation gift and family fun vacation.

We will check out that southern limo page.

But I would want at least a 20 min grocery shop. ;)

Anyone use QUICKSILVER transportation -
http://www.quicksilver-tours.com

from the web-site:
1-888-GO-TO-WDW (468-6939)
Meet and Greet service.

Luggage assistance.

Free 30 minutes grocery stop
(for round trips only).

No extra charge for car seats or booster seats.

A free 10 minutes long distance or 5 minutes
international call.

No credit cards needed to hold your reservation.

No cancellation fees.

No late or early pick-up fees.

24 hours on-line reservations.

Our listed rates are less than standard
taxi rates.

The two companies that I found to be the least expensive while doing my research are:

www.absolute-limo.com/main.htm

www.southernelegancelimousines.com

Both of these companies offer round-trip limo service from Orlando International Airport (MCO) to the Magic Kingdom Resorts for $180.00 (before any discounts or coupons). Other resort destinations may be less expensive.

Also beware that there are 3 or 4 Orlando limo companies that automatically add their "tip" into the price of the limo fare (in other words, a "surcharge"). I, personally, prefer to be the one who determines the tip amount (based on company performance and my satisfaction).
An industry standard recommendation for a limo driver is 20%. That means $36 on a $180 fare (or $18 each way). Some of these "automatic tips" that are added on, amount to over 35% (of this lower $180 fare -- or $65).

Just make sure you read all of the fine print and ask these questions when you call to make your final reservations. It really does pay to do some research first.

I chose Absolute Limo for our trip in June. Good luck with your decision.

We always use Tiffany Towncar. I also use them a lot for my clients. We mostly hire the towncar. Once as a special treat, we hired a limo.
We have always had good luck with them.

We'll be using Tiffany on Weds. They also stop for groceries. There is also a coupon at there website.

I prefer Golden Limo. Because the driver is also the owner, the rates are more competitive! 407.869.9007 The limo is a beautiful white stretch :)

We used Happy Limo last September and there wasn't a thing wrong with their service.

We were staying at the Poly and they had a driver waiting, ready and willing to help with luggage, when we arrived at the baggage carasoul(sp?).

Their prices were competitive, they had a grocery stop, and the drivers were very nice.

One advantage on the grocery stop, you could fax your order before you even arrived and the store, Albertsons(?), would have it ready. Pick-up, pay, and leave. Probably 10 minutes tops. That's pretty nice when you're excited to get to your resort.

We even rented a double stroller from them. At $25, and we were there for 8 days, we saved a few bucks over the Disney rental.

The tip is supposed to be included in the price, but the drivers were so nice I tipped them personally. They were really nice to our girls, ages 3 and 4.

It sure beats Mears. If there is any way, I will never use Mears again. We've used them on two or three other trips and you feel like they're just herding cattle.

The town car or limo is the way to go.

I just booked with golden limo for a party of 8, his prices are less than everyone else's, and has nothing but great reviews, and a really nice looking limo
