Has anyone recently used a good, dependable towncar service to get from MCO to WDW resort?
The Disney bus and luggage service has been getting some not-so-good comments here.

Thanks.

We have used Tiffany Towncar for six trips and have NEVER been disappointed. They are always on time and the drivers are always pleasant. They also offer a free 30 minute grocery or liquor store stop, if you want to make any purchases before getting to your resort (and its high priced gift shop!).

We used Magical Express to get from MCO to the Poly a few weeks ago. But we had a towncar from FL Tours to take us from the Poly to the port for our cruise and then from the port to the airport when we returned. They arrived promptly, handled all the baggage for us and knew exactly where there were going. They drove in a safe manner and the cars were extremely clean and well cared-for. I wouldn't heistate to use them again.

We've used Tiffany Town Cars in the past and can't say a bad thing about them-they're awesome! :)

Here's another vote for Tiffany Towncar. We used them in June to go from the airport to Hard Rock hotel at Universal and then from Hard Rock to Beach Club. They were very prompted and helpful.

We used Sunray & they were wonderful!!! I highly recomend them. $80 round trip with a grocery stop. They were there at MCO waiting for us when we arrived & then picked us up at Pop for the return trip. Very nice people. :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

We were there 8/13-8/19 and used Disney Magical Express - and it was magical. We checked our luggage in Boston, and had it in the hotel room after returning from the parks - When we arrived at MCO we followed directions to ME booth, they showed us where to wait for next bus - as soon as we got there the bus was there, got on the bus and w/in 5 minutes we left for POP. from the time we touched down until we arrived at the hotel was about 1 hour. The way back was even easier... We checked in our luggage at the hotel, got on the ME bus and we were on our way.

How would a paying for a towncar service be any better? Were we just lucky both times w/ ME?

We used Magical Express once and never again. Not a horrible experience, but just not for us; we'd rather go straight to the resort in a towncar than wait around in line, then in a bus, as we go from resort to resort.

We use Tiffany's service and always have a great experience with them. We've used them for 3 or 4 times, and have never had to wait - the driver is always there, friendly & ready to bring us straight "home" to our resort.

Cheers!

I have always just hired a towncar through Mear's transportation. The driver has always been very nice and it usually costs around 50.00 from the airport to the hotel and then another 50.00 to return!

Big Sun Ray fan here. :sunny: www.sunraytransportation.com .

Had a great experience with them on my July and August trips. Also, for the July trip, my sister and aunts also had great service. The grocery stop is fabulous.

We've used Tiffany, FL Tours and *********** and never had a problem with any of them.

Do the drivers meet you in Baggage Claim and help w/baggage or are they waiting curbside? Does it really save time? Do they have car seats for kids?

It would be nice to have luggage immediately vs. whenever ME gets it to resort.

Tiffany Town Car has been great--we've used them to get from the resorts to the cruise lines...

Very friendly drivers--on time!

Have fun!

Before I do, please let me just point out:
1: Yes, there've been some not-so-good comments about DME; otoh, there've been hundreds of thousands of satisfied passengers who don't post about their positive experiences either because they just don't know about the DIS, or because the service met/exceeded their expectations'
2: Plenty of people have also had (and posted) not-so-good experiences with town cars - poor customer service in advance, drivers not meeting them when/where they should (and in at least one case, having to go look for the driver only to find him outside having a cigarette), drivers just plain not showing up for the return trip...

Now, yes: Cartier Town Car www.carriertowncar.com

We definately had a positive experience. At no point did we have to wait in line for DME - And when we got on the bus we were there less than 5 minutes - The bus was comfortable, they showed short "movies" that the kids liked, and we didn't go to any other resort - we went straight to POP? Now that was the one and only trip w/ DME - but I can't imagine paying $100 for something that good that is free?

When you hire a towncar do you have to deal w/ your own luggage? If you do you must have to wait around for that?

We have used the Swan's own limo service and also Ibex towncare several times and were pleased with both. I have heard from friends that Happy Limo is not reliable as they were left stranded by them.

During our last 3 days with the Swan I have always used their car service and they are great! Always right there on time and very friendly.

Years ago we used to use Mears but I don't like them anymore. You load onto the bus and then it sits until it has alot of passengers and then you have to make all the stops to all the different hotels. When I get to WDW I want to get right to my hotel and start my day!!!
