Interesting article on how political correctness and a cry for personal rights influences security at US airports.

Yet as many of us know, a physical inspection (NOT a 'pat down') is required for all passengers on many flights in international airports, and for all passengers for all flights in other international airports.
Interesting! I have been flying out of Berlin, Germany (TXL airport) recently and found security here pretty strong, especially the pat downs. I usually really try to avoid having anything on me to get the metal detectors go off, but they seem to be extremely sensitive here. And if I am patted down, this is definitely not just a pat, but a very thorough inspection. It got to the point where indeed it felt a bit intrusive, but that was a security measure which I felt had a proper reason.
