The last time we flew out of EWR we parked at AirPark off airport parking and it was great, but the price has jumped since t.hen and I don't have a coupon. I have a coupon for Fastrack and Skypark for 8.95/day has anyone used them, if so were they good and is one better than the other. I see they are both outdoor parking and self-park. Did you feel safe there and did they drop you off at departures. We rented from Mr. B's years ago the parking lot was a little dark and scary and they dropped us off at arrivals never again :confused3. Linda

have you ever considered taking the nj transit bus? i was considering taking a cab but that's way expensive. My hubby is worried about the parking, too. So I called up NJT and they have a bus every two hours from nine in the morning near us and it is $10/pp. my only fear is if we miss the bus or if they don't show up. should check that option out.:surfweb:

We have an early flight out and a late flight in, we live a little more than an hour from Newark so the bus would'nt work for us but thanks for the idea. Linda :)

We stopped flying out of EWR whenever possible because the parking is either very expensive or a huge hassle. We fly out of Newburgh now - it's GREAT!!! You can park right in front of the airport. Too late now for your trip but look into it next time. I am about 25 mins south of you (In Sussex Cty still) so you are even closer to Newburgh than I am.

Also look at State Shuttle. I looked online and it looks like roundtrip from me for 5 people is $105.00 Worth a call to them to see if it is cheaper to do that as opposed to parking all week long.

We have flown out of Newburgh its a great airport, the first time we went there I thought it was a strip mall its so small. My next favorite is White Plains another small airport Jetblues prices are usually even lower here than Stewart but the parking stinks so we park a nearby hotel who has low parking rates and a shuttle. We are flying out of Newark because I had points for a free ticket on Continental and the flight times I wanted and we are flying there and back on weekdays so not as crowded as the weekends. Linda :)

Thanks for the info I looked it up online it said $107 plus $5 for an early morning pick up, but then it also said $107 by the return pickup so I was'nt sure if that was roundtrip or each way. Linda :)

I used to use Avistar McClellan, but they have recently become The Parking Spot and their prices went up significantly. Recently I have been using Avistar/Fast Park Self Park. It is a lot less and you can usually find the best price (prepaid) through their website. I've racked up a lot of points with them have have received numerous free days.

Anyone have a recommendation for a car service to EWR?

I live about 20-25 minutes away form Newark and car service would work best. Unless there is actually a shuttle that does pick-ups?

I just called State Shuttle, because when I looked online, I got a rate of $77 plus $5 early morning pickup and also wasn't sure if that was one way or roundtrip. They said the rates are one way so I would have to pay $164 to use them. I think I'll go back to looking at parking. I found the Renaissance Newark Airport for $7.83 per day that would cost me $85 total. Does anyone know anything about parking there?

Here's another tip The Airport hotels have cheaper weekly parking and also free shuttle bus to the airport. My friend just saved a bunch by actually spending the night at the Marriott and using their parking. Might be worth a phone call

Be careful with airport hotel parking at EWR. The hotel shuttles aren't allowed to pick up or drop off at the terminals, they drop you off at P4 on the monorail. You have to schlep your bags up to the monorail, then back down when you arrive at the terminal and again when you come back. I didn't know about this, until I did some research and called some of the airport hotels and they all confirmed this.

:confused3 my friend just flew out a couple weeks ago and they were dropped at the terminal? no monorail for them.

We used abc parking in august. They were $7/day with an online discount. It's an outdoor lot that doesn't look very impressive, but the service was very good. We had no issues and they were already waiting for us when we landed. I will definitely use them again.

Would any of you have links to these parking lots you're talking about? We don't want to pay $108 to park for 6 days in the economy lot, and cabs would cost us even more. Would love to know about other alternatives!

We're also considering the train, but our flight is reallllly early -- plus we'd have to pay to park at Secaucus train station (as expensive as parking at Newark), or leave my car in an unattended (but free) lot all week, which I'm not too comfortable with.

So yeah, any extra info with links would be great! Thanks in advance! :thumbsup2

This is the link to ABC parking, looks like it is now $8/day (I believe there is a $3 initial fee also).

My sister-in-law also used them at the end of August and had no complaints.

We were also going to do the train, but there wasn't one running early enough for us to catch our flight, and honestly, the train fares have gotten rediculous, especially for a family of 4

Thank you for the link, lurkernj!

I agree about the train ticket prices... 12.25 each to Newark, and that's just one way :scared1: If they really wanted to make it more attractive than taking a cab or driving yourself, they'd cut that in half!

We used to use Mr. B's (loved the free car wash) but it's gone now, so last November we tried Newark Airport Long Term Parking (not associated with the airport itself in any way) and we really liked it. Booked it again for our trip next month...valet parking, reasonable rates, easy to find early in the morning and pleasant people working there. :) http://www.newarklongtermparking.com/
