Hi, we're driving to WDW in a couple of weeks so my problem isn't for us, but rather my step-mom who is toying with the idea of flying down for a couple of days in the middle of our trip. If she can make it work, she'll need (ideally, so I don't have to pick her up lol) transportation to and from the Orlando airport. Can you guys recommend some options that I could recommend to her? I've never flown there so I'm clueless! TIA!

Town car, cab. The sponser of this board owns a limo service. His link is the banner at the top of the page.

If you put her on your room reservation at Disney she can take ME also even if her arrival/departure dates are different.

Are you staying on-site?
If she is too, then DME would be a great option:)
If you're under the adult occupancy limit for your room presently, you can just call and have her added to your reservation, and then reserve her seat on the bus:)

...I think Carol posted just as I started typing;)

Oh that's nice...I didn't know that. We're only 3 in our room (WL) so adding her wouldn't be a problem. Does anyone know about how long it takes to transfer from the airport to a disney resort using Magical Express? Thanks!

The average time seems to be about 70 minutes. That's from deplaning to resort checkin.

Do you have a room/ticket package? All guests must be on the same package when staying in a room together. So even if she was only there for a couple days, she would still need to pay for park tickets/dining for the same number of days as you.

No, we're booked room-only because we have seasonal passes. My step-mom would have to buy individual day tickets.

Perfect! Have a great trip! My parents and In-laws always meet us at Disney when we go. They love seeing the grandkids at the parks!

Be sure to call now and get her reservation made with DME. I'm sure she won't get any luggage tags in time. Would she have more than just a carryon bag with her? If so, luggage tags won't matter. If she is going to have a checked bag, then she can either go to baggage claim herself and grab her own bag and then head to the DME checkin desk, and her bag will go underneath the bus she is on. Or, she can just head to the checkin desk immediatly and have them take copies of her baggage claim checks and they will have someone grab her bag and put it on the truck going to the resorts.
