We'll be arriving late and refuse to pay Disney prices for simply a pillow. Planning on spending the short night at a hotel that offers shuttle service but so far have yet to find one that has good reviews of their reliability. This would be a deal breaker for me! Get me back to the airport pronto so i can go to WDW!!!!!

I don't have an answer to your question sorry but are you renting a car?Just curious how you are getting from the airport the next morning to WDW.

The Hyatt hotel is in the airport, no shuttle necessary. Generally the return shuttle to MCO is scheduled, maybe twice an hour.
A few of the less expensive properties don't offer a complimentary 24/7 shuttle. You'll need to pay for a taxi if your flight arrives late.

AFAIK the shuttle are reasonably good. People rely on the hotels shuttle to catch a flight. I'm not sure where you're reading the horror stories.

Answer to 1st question: i called ME and was told that our transportation is connected with our check-in date not our flight.the return trip IS connected with the flight.

2nd question: Using tripadvisor for reviews. I understand that we get what we pay for -- planning on using Hotel "reward points" hubby travels a fair bit so he is a member wherever possible! All of the reviews state that getting to hotels work seamlessly, just seems that getting back to the airport can pose a problem.

Thanks for offering to help.

Thanks I learn something new everyday here on the Dis :)

Another vote for the Hyatt. It's literally in the terminal. If you're feeling impatient waiting for a shuttle this is ideal. Once you try it, you won't want to deal with a shuttle.

Here is the view from our room overlooking airport security. It doesn't get any easier than this. We have gotten it on HW many times for less than $74 but lately it's been higher. The Hyatt is the only 4* in the MCO area on HW that also has a 4.5 TA rating. (If it's a 4.0 TA rating, it's the Renaissance by Marriott.)

It might be helpful if the OP would share the name of the hotels which have "issues" with the shuttle as well as links.

Shuttle buses to MCO are typically on a set schedule, maybe twice an hour. Shuttle service from MCO is typically "on demand".

Branded resorts cater to business flyers. I'd be shocked if the shuttle van runs more then a few minutes late. Some of the lower priced branded resorts don't offer a complimentary 24/7 shuttle. Late arrivals may need a taxi. Guests with a very early flight might need a taxi.

Let's just call this a closed issue for now shall we? I was merely looking for suggestions from those who had stayed in a hotel and were pleased with both the hotel and shuttle service. I only searched for hotels that DO offer a free shuttle service BTW. I did not want to start an argument.

Thanks again to those of you who offered positive responses :)
