Airport Arrival question??

We will be traveling out of JFK on JetBlue on Nov 23 on the 7pm flight to MCO. Since that is the day before Thanksgiving what time would you suggest that we arrive? I say we should get there around 4-4:30, we are using long term parking. My husband says we should not get there before 5. I am worried about security being insane that day. Any suggestions? Anyone have any experience being at JFK that time of year? Thanks for any help.

I would plan on 4 or even earlier. That is the busiest travel day of the year. I would also check your airlines website before going to the airport to see if it has been delayed.

It is much better sitting at the gate with some extra time than stressing because you can't get through security and are going to miss your plane.

it really does not matter when you arrive in MCO. when you depart get the the airport a good 6 hours early b/c i went down for the food and wine and it was about an hour and 15 minutes who knows on for when you are going

6 hours for what? I have never seen it that busy that you need to be there 6 hours before a flight.
