Airplane snacks

best bet is to check with the airline its self
im sure they would recommend snacks for you :)

I also bring some gummyn candy, like gummy worms and gummy bears to help with the ear popping.

I also brought some chips that came in a tube (pringles) so they would get squished in my luggage. I think cheese its might be a good snack or almonds.

Bring enough to share! I shared with my seatmates, they were all hungry didnt bring enough snacks and our airline "RAN OUT" of snack boxes, and coke. It was a crappy flight but only 4 hours.

We travel cross country usually via Southwest - I always pack food. I purchased a soft sided cooler from LL Bean - my is a couple of years old but very similar to this onehttp://www.llbean.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CategoryDisplay?storeId=1&catalogId=1&langId=-1&categoryId=54230&productId=905624&qs=3009652
I take sandwiches, string cheese, sliced veggies and sliced fruit. I use condiment packets of mayo/mustard and then we use frozen peas and/or string beans to keep cool. I make little sandwiches out of dinner rolls and then put them in ziplock bags. They stay plenty cold

This bag has been a life saver on many of our adventures.

Eggs only smell if you overcook them. I'm pretty good with making hard boiled eggs, I've never smelled anything before. And I'm usually pretty sensitive to smells.

I'll take your word on that but sit as far away from you as possible.:scared1:

You can bring icepacks just not ice cubes. We bring icepacks to keep the kid's bottles cool.

You can bring ice packs only to keep medicines or kids bottles' cold. If you are not traveling with young children or with medicines that need to be chilled, ice packs may not be allowed. (It should be will not under the rules, but it's always possible that an individual screener may not fully understand the rule or may just be willing to let you slide.)

I use condiment packets of mayo/mustard.

Not sure exactly what your procedure is, but condiments in the packets technically fall under the 3-1-1 rules for liquids/gels and need to be in a clear, zip-lock bag with your other liquids/gels. Condiments already on a sandwich, however, are not covered by the 3-1-1 rules.

I always try to buy some breadsticks from a Pizza Hut in the airport. They're tasty lukewarm or even room temperature, you don't have to worry about them going bad, and they're filling. Plus, they're easy to eat on a plane -- unlike big sandwiches, things with spreads, etc.

Yes, I know we always have the condiment packets in the quart ziplocks. I didn't mention it, I figure by now most everyone who travels knows how this works.
