Airmiles tickets- tickets in mail actual tickets?

Just a quick question- are the tickets we received in the mail from airmiles the actual tickets we will take to the gate, or do we exchange them?

I got actual tickets for Disneyland in 2013 and WDW this year. They are the hard plastic gift card sized ones.

When we bought 1 day WDW MK tickets in may they were hard plastic gift cards, but the tickets I got from airmiles last week are paper- each with a different character- they are what I remember, but just want to know if I need to allot more time the first morning to swap the paper for the plastic cards if the paper I got in the mail are not the actual park-hoppers

Disneyland tickets are not plastic, WDW are. The DL tickets were paper (cardstock) with different characters on them.

I received hard plastic tickets for WDW recently.

Will you be staying onsite and receive Magicbands? I plan to add my tickets on the My Disney Experience site but we'll be onsite and have the bands. I'll carry the cards with me as back-up like I usually do, but so far I haven't had to dig them out of my wallet.

Like other have mentioned, if they are DL tickets they are the card stock ones. WDW will be plastic ones. As far as I know, the only plastic cards at DL are the APs.
