Yesterday I realized it was the last day for Staples. I've been so busy I didn't realize it was only a week long! I only found out last week that Passport Funding has allowed receiptants to purchase material items to keep busy during the shut down (started back in April). My daughter had been asking for a Switch system and it would be covered. While in the store, we discovered games can only be ordered online.

So, 1 Staples on my card for printer ink and a few small back-to-school supplies for my son - $102.32 in-store - done.

2nd Staples on my husband's card last night at home for the Switch Lite console. Well over the $150 for the AirMilesShops. So those two are done (plus Shell) on his card.

3rd Staples on my daughter's card last night at home for 2 Switch games. Just over the $150 for AirMilesShops so both AirMilesShops and Staples are done on her card. When we need gas again Shell will be her 3rd store.

I received both Staples confirmations for the orders via e-mail but it does not mention the air miles numbers on them. I'm curious if it will once the official order completed and shipped comes through. I made damn certain each air mile number was there plus the coupon code and took screenshots of all the orders! Ohh, plus, since Staples said it would be here tomorrow, I had to have them shipped to a friend's house. We won't be here until evening tomorrow and I don't want them stolen.

We are now a four card family. My son turned 16 a few months ago and I just realized he can sign up for an Air Miles card. Shell will be his 1st Mega Mile offer. Ohh, I need to opt him in!

Ugh, I've done the Jiffy Lube one as well as opting in and filling my car up at Shell. Base miles for both transactions showed up but nothing for Mega Miles. This promo is going to give me a headache.

Yes, that was me. My friend did her in-store Staples shop before me and it added that on her printed receipt. I went in the store yesterday and it's also on mine, right underneath the Subtotal line. The Cashier didn't seem to know what to do either and I told her she HAD to enter the 5-digit code. She called over another employee who confirmed what I said was correct.

We have the wrong code on our Staples receipt, it says 75116. I'm wondering if contacting Air Miles would be worth it or are we just out of luck?

Donald can you post a screen shot of your order (from your staples account) where it shows the coupon so we know where to look. To me Reorder means it's messed up. See if yours order says that too. I know my Airmileshops won't work because they cancelled the first (original) order.

What we're looking for is what the order looks like AFTER you've placed it ...
I took a screen shot from my phone and blacked out the personal info. This is from the Staples website from the order i placed & have already picked up We're wondering if on this page do you see the coupon code?

This is a case of when i would normally say "I'm sorry you're out of luck" If the promo hadn't ended you could have returned the items and then bought it again so the correct coupon code is used. HOWEVER, someone up above has reported contacting Airmiles about something else that was completed in error and it appears to have been fixed during posting since it says the miles come from Safeway and not listed as "missing miles code" .
Do you take the time now to try and chase it down? I'm thinking this is a case of yes, it won't hurt, in fact it might help if you get a sympathetic agent and if nothing else they can make sure that the specific Staples you went to is made aware that they didn't process a promo correctly. I'm not sure how they can help but i think I would try.

Nope doesn't show on my invoice. I am sure this is what you wanted to see. Again I did the same thing - erased all of my stuff.


The only weird thing I see on my email invoice is the -0.00 after the subtotal. Maybe that is showing the coupon code in disguise. I thought it was a reversal of the shipping but I see shipping of 0.00 just below that.

The $-.01 appears so that the coupon code is entered into the system. This is one of the worst Staples promotions to date. My screen shots are like all of yours and then when they did the reorder thingy the coupon code is nowhere to be seen.

I may contact AM about it tomorrow. They need to be made aware that Staples has mucked this up.

I ordered after that mess, my invoice looks fine, with the promo code, but I still only have base miles, not the bonus....I'm hoping they figure all this out.

Staples sent me an invitation to fill out a survey about my most recent shopping experience. It was for DS order not DH order. I didn't do it. They sent me a reminder to fill it out (I hate it when the do that so I was already ticked). Decided I would fill it in but reference DH order for which I am owed a lot of AM. I just ripped into their processes which allowed this error (Aug 13 double charge of order, cancel original order, re-order minus coupon code). I will let you know if anyone gets back to me.

Does your "Invoice" show the coupon code or was it your "Order Confirmation". Sorry to ask again, I never received an "Invoice" for DH order and the one that they sent when I questioned it looks nothing like the automatically generated invoice. Where was the coupon code listed on the invoice?

I'm just trying to put all the little pieces together for when I go into battle (with Airmiles) over this order.

That is so very different from what I have for either of my orders. Why can't they send out a consistent invoice. I'm glad it worked for you. Now if it would only work for the rest of us.

Thank goodness I at least have the order confirmation that shows the coupon.

I received my Staples order today. It’s really weird how they packed it....or should I say didn’t pack it. My shredder was just in its box....no label or anything. I ordered a file storage box....it was not packaged what so ever. Then the assorted items I ordered where in an actual box. All the items were left sitting on my front step, which I asked for, but had I known they wouldn’t box or wrap anything I would have not allowed them to leave it.

No AM yet though.

I went to Sobeys yesterday. Got 8 $150 GCs (5 for my card and 3 for DD’s card) in separate transactions. Then shopped for the Mega Miles offer. Some items must cost lower than the posted price. The cashier told me my total was a bit over $150 and I was using my calculator to track and excluded the bananas just in case). I wondered why the total was so close to $150, and asked the cashier what the subtotal was. She told me it was $150.91. I asked to confirm if that was before taxes. She said yes. After I paid with my GC, I saw the subtotal was $146.86 on my receipt. I told her the subtotal was below $150 and I needed at least $150 to get the Mega Miles offer. At first, she was thinking of just giving me the coupon AM. I told her it’s not the bonus AM from the coupon, it’s the 1000 bonus AM for using 5 coupons successfully. She then did a total cash refund (no need to return money to the GC) and a total cash purchase plus one item to make the subtotal over $150. Mega Miles was shown on my receipt this time and glad that I asked twice to confirm the total before paying. She seemed more accommodating and apologetic than expected. I felt bad for taking up her time but I needed that to be done properly as AM Hunt is so much harder after Rexall is gone. I am not sure if I should go get 2 more GCs for DD’s card. DH is worried to get so much money tied up in Sobeys GC in case of it closing down. But the 200 AM are tempting!

Now waiting for my Rona shop.
