I just had a thought - I wonder if AM hasn't done any big AM shops offers at all yet because of the then-looming / ongoing postal strike? Like, how are we supposed to do AM shops offers if there isn't any deliveries being made?

My DH had the multi-partner offer as well, and it hasn't posted yet. One of the partners he shopped at was Kent, which had a bonus of 50 AM at the time. Well, those just posted. Now, I have to go and chance the 150 bonus miles at the end of the month.

there was a postal strike around Christmas time during one of these promotions, maybe 5 or 6 years ago (covid-19 time warp is a thing!) And i remember blasting well .ca and a-mazon for not using carriers other than Canada post when they're strictly online. I think that might have been when A mazon stepped up their own delivery services.

This won't affect black Friday, most of the stores i order from have big flash notices describing how they will ship things

I think I might make a note of the delivery service that all the main stores I will need to shop at are using.

Amazon, Lulu, Roots, Temu, Shein...

I find almost none of the AM shops partners use Canada Post shipping. At least in my area of Suburban Ottawa. I recognize in other areas it would differ. I only shop online and for me everything comes via FedEx, UPS, Purolator, or local delivery companies that Amazon / Well.ca / Indigo contracts out etc. In past 5 years I think I’ve had 5 parcels via Canada Post but they were not for mainstream shopping. Packages from Germany etc. And the guy who handles our house always “attempts delivery” for 2 seconds before he leaves the pickup next day form.

So I've been absent for a while. I had three pages to read here to get caught up.
Things have been super busy, trying to get work organized for my vacay and trying to get myself organized too. I've got my door decor finished, just last night, with a pic turned magnet of my two favourite boys...Chip N Dale. I have been hounding DD for 2 weeks for this pic. It turned out really well but it printed a little too dark for my liking. I've only got 5 sheets of photo paper left and at this point I can't be bothered to reprint anything. I need to be done something. I have been working on Christmas tshirts but I think that is now not happening. I discovered last night that the image I was going to use will probably print with a white background and I don't want that. I've messaged a place that I found in Mississauga to see if they will take my images and turn them into transfers to print but I already have the shirts and I want to use them....I hate the unisex tshirt fit for myself. I don't know if they will do that. Does anyone know of someone that makes t shirt transfers? TBH, I'm kind of over it at this point. I still need to pack. I still need to pick up a few things that DD needs us to bring. LOL...she is dying for all dressed chips. I was going to mail them but it was going to cost $25, so no. I'm going to pack a large bag in my carry on.

Fun news...
So lately DD has really been struggling. She's basically stuck with people she really dislikes (there is some really horrible behaviour going on) and people that constantly break the rules but get away with it. Anyway, yesterday she called me and she was crying so of course I'm instantly worried that something awful has happened. She was crying because she got moved up to a main stage roll. This has been the dream. There was a change in the cast, the onboard team had to call the office here to find out what to do. The office immediately said to give it to DD. Now she has a ton to learn in a very short time. So it's going to be very stressful but she is so happy. So happy in fact that she spent her wifi minutes on a Facetime with us last night.

On the AM front....I need to deal with the Pizza Pizza thing and get my 20X miles.

Thank you! I hardly slept last night, I’m so excited for her.
They had her in fittings this morning. She sent me a pic of one costume. That’s likely all I will get to see though. I don’t know if she will be show ready by the time we get there….she still has all her other work to do. Just this morning she found out that she was selected for their leadership program and that starts tomorrow.
