Good morning all!

Does anyone have any suggestions for YYZ parking? Discounts or cheap lots etc.
We always limo to the airport but this week we actually have the extra time to park/shuttle to the airport and our flight home is early afternoon. TBH I’d prefer to limo it but cost is now just under $100 each way. I was kind of hoping DD’s boyfriend would offer us a ride one way…but that hasn’t happened yet.

Well, we went appliance shopping this weekend. We have been wanting a new fridge for a few years. We have a small fridge that we had to purchase the last time as it was the only one in stock and the other one had finally crapped out. So I just dealt with it. But it's too small, no water/ice. It's bare bones. It was time to upgrade. And our dishwasher is on it's last legs too.

I was hoping that we would be able to snag some extra AM if we were able to order online through the AM shops. Sadly....no luck. So we are still able to get some AM using our CC...but no extra ones.

You know you're getting old when new appliances made you happy. As much as I didn't want to spend the $$$ on new appliances, I got exactly what I wanted in a fridge and stove - I didn't get the dishwasher I wanted - but I think I will be ok with the one we got. The ones we have are just not working...and I've had enough. We are blessed enough to be able to purchase when we want vs when we need to because something crapped out.

Other than snagging a bunch with new appliances - it's been pretty dry here except for collecting miles through shell. I have a couple of things on amazon I want to purchase - and will go through the portal for that...but it's not a huge windfall.

Hope everyone is well!!!!!

What ab out Uber?
Oddly, that was on my mind earlier today. I don't use Uber but DD has so I'm going to have her price it but I think it runs around $60 one way. The only thing is...I have no idea how you get an Uber to pick you up from the airport.

I'm so mentally spent right now that maybe just for simplicity I will book my usual limo guy. Turns out that we got picked up once by a guy that lives right around the corner from us. He told us that he saw the pick up address come across and he grabbed it as a start to his day. Since then we request him when we book and he can sometimes tie it in to either start or end his day. Every time I try to gently put out the idea that he might want to have a private arrangement with a neighbour....but no luck.

plantar fasciitis
Anyone have or had this and how did you treat it.?
Thanks
Hugs Mel

Oh I had it. Got special inserts in my shoes, and lots of stretching my feet, especially before getting out of bed in the morning, foot circles, stretching all ways. I believe I found stretches online for it. And less walking for awhile.

I am going to look for some online videos for stretches and am currently looking for some new running shoes.
I am going to skip orthotics as they didn't work years ago but I am going to look for some good inserts for my new running shoes.
Right now I am trying this

Question when you put the inserts into your shoes do you use both the right and left insert or only the foot that has the issue?
I was thinking maybe this product?

Also any thoughts on a *Lets Not break the bank* pair of womens walking/running shoes??
??????????????????????????????????????????????

Skechers Arch Fit. I wear Skechers go walk sandals and running shoes year round for walking. I used to wear Reebock walkers. My current favourite are Skecher Max Cusioning... Any shoe that fits your foot is the one you should get. Go shopping mid day or later after your feet have swollen up a bit for the day (if your feet do that, mine do).

I like Sketchers, I have sandals and runners.
I used inserts on both sides as I had some issues on both sides, one was worse than the other but it also felt weird to only wear one insert. They were gel things just under the heel.

I had it twice and the only thing that worked was wearing the boot at night. It works REALLY well.
Hi Hon
Thanks for sharing,,, I wish I could try the boot but with my skin condition I think it will just irritate the heck out of it.
I'll keep it in mind though. I am glad it worked for you.

You may be able to find a soft brace that will hold your foot at a 90 degree angle that isn't a boot. The problem with Plantar Fasciitis is that your foot lies flat at night, so the ligament shrinks up, then as soon as you get up and your foot goes to a 90 degree angle, the ligament stretches again. You need to make sure you ease into your first morning steps and do lots of stretches before you start walking around. It takes a long time to heal.

I struggle with it at times. It seems to flair up now and again when I don't have proper fitting shoes with good arch support. I do stretches and exercises as well. But I found that wearing this helps give extra support so that my feet, heels and ankles don't hurt.

I have found sketchers and Vessi shoes to be great for walking shoes. I like Vionic and Dansko shoes for other good fitting work/sandals/ other shoes. They are a little $$$ but worth the money to not have flair ups. We have a great local shoes store that are knowledgeable on which shoes they carry for it.
