the flash offer is good until Sept 24 so there's no need to rush. Take the time to understand the terms of each individual offer and try not to over spend. I'll take some time to filter the info into a post.

Keep posting how you're planning on tackling the offers. Hint for those who also have access to the shell offers - do that on Monday and it will count towards both promos. Also, if you're looking for something that comes in around the $5 mark, lots of stations have tiny M & M freezer sections and the single serve meals work!

I am so sad as I went out shopping at Dollarama on Wednesday to buy a bunch of crafts for my retiree groups Thanksgiving lunch. Oh well I was thinking of buying more items for our October meeting so I will go back next week and can add a gift card to my purchase. My nephews girlfriend stops at Timmies on her way to work so I can buy her a gift card or 2.
I will shop at Metro and get something at Shell and I will be done on my card.
My sister has linked her Mastercard to her airmiles card now so she can do her own Dollarama shop and she always shops at Metro and she can buy some gas at Shell and she will be done.
I don't need anything online right now so I won't go out and spend money just to earn Airmiles.
ps this addition of Dollarama as an Airmiles link member is a game changer for me as I don't have a BMO card so don't earn any miles that way so my only other way of earning miles was to shop online.

Same for me here. I can do Metro and Shell ,,but that's about it..... having the cardlink offer included for Dollarama is great. I actually hate shopping via the Airmiles online website.
I have a BMO Mastercard but prefer not to use it as I get better results (rewards) using another credit card.

My Shell is at it's absolute worst condition I've ever seen.
New management and they just haven't got it together yet.
Super low stock on everything ,,,for months ,,, poor customer interaction,,,
Their Systems are down quite often. Coolers are half empty.
I might try going for a drive on Monday to see if I can find a better Shell.

Will these all "stack" with the other promos too? Like if I do the 3 to get the 300 bonus flash offer, will those 3 count towards the "get up to 250 bonus miles when I shop at 3, 4 or 5+ different AM partners"?

Today I'll use my Optimum points to pay for some groceries. The $$ I saved on groceries, I'll get a disney GC at dollarama with my card link offer. Monday get gas at shell with my AM MC. That hits all 3, I think?

I have many orders, Walmart and 1 Amazon (correct categories), that didn't post in August.

Two Amazon orders from Aug did not post however an email sent to me said they were sorry and the Airmiles posted in my account the next day.


My Sept 2nd order via Staples posted Sept 3rd online. (In store pick up)
My Aug 24 Airmiles order (Staples) posted Aug 25th online . (In store pick up)

My Aug. Body Shop Airmiles have not posted .

Anyone happen to know if I can prepay the amount of the trip to the Aeroplan card to have a credit...in order to charge something over the limit? Did that make sense? @tinkerone you worked in banking right? I'm afraid to ask at my branch as the staff are like 12yo and the customer service manager is Barbie.

Just back from vacation, got in late last night, and doing a catch up. Did you get this resolved? I will read on, you may have already answered this.
What I can tell you is there is no answer to this question. There will be a report generated that says ABC made a prepayment and someone will look at it. Depending on that person, they may say looks good and let it through or they may say looks like it's possible fraud and put a 30 day hold on the funds. If they put any kind of a hold on it you will not be able to use it as a credit towards a purchase more than the limit of your card. If it's a newer CC you could most likely expect a hold on the funds till they are sure it clears.

This actually just happened to a friend of mine who lives on Vancouver Island. She recently put a large sum on her CC to pay for an airline ticket and when she went to purchase the ticket the CC company denied the purchase. When she called the CC company they told her she would have to wait 15 days for it to clear. In that time period the cost of the ticket had increased. She messaged me about it but I couldn't feel bad for her. We had gone through pretty much this same scenario a few years ago where I told her what her issues could be and advised her not to do it. I do hope you made out better, I'll read on.

Change of topic for a minute.
Just back from vacation and I think I mentioned, just before leaving, that I was concerned I might have purchased to much in Disney GCs. I bought a lot of items for the family Christmas boxes (I do a shoe box size for each with little items in it and then add cash to complete). We ate at several great spots and enjoyed lots of little treats like frozen lemonade (YUM) and Mickey bars. Those add up quickly. I did manage to spend it all and actually ended up with a final bill of $56. Worked out good.
While on our DCL cruise there was an issue with the engines so we could not stop at Castaway Cay, our last stop on our last day. The captain said he was needing the time to get back to port on time due to the engines not working at full capacity. For this inconvenience he gave each cabin a $250 onboard non refundable onboard credit as well as a 25% discount on our next cruise. Here I was concerned about how I was going to spend my Disney GCs as it was and now I need to spend another $250 in one day. Great problem to have right?? We looked and looked and looked. Nothing we really wanted. DH bought a new shirt and I bought a Pirates of the Caribbean Battleship game for our GS for Christmas. Both items came to around $100. Still had $150 to spend and not a thing that we wanted. So, $150 worth of packaged candy came home with us. It was a use it or lose it situation so why not.
Later that night I was messaging my d-I-L and she said 'why didn't you get a massage' . How could I not have thought about that?? We even had 20% discount coupons sent to us on our first day from the spa because it was our birthdays! That would have been the ideal way to spend free money. Oh well, at least I can eat candy for a month or two.
The Fantasy has had engine issues for many years, I don't know why they just don't do an actual fix during a dry dock.

Back to AMs. Being away for 16 days I seem to be quite far behind.

*So the big one I should be looking at is earn 1 AM at three places to get 300 AMs (opt in). So do I understand that I could do Shell on Monday (for the bonus AMs, opt in) and earn 1 AM at Metro, use my BMO MC to pay for each and that will be my 3 shops? Is that correct?

*Shell on Monday for 1 AM per liter of gas, any grade?

Any other big offers I should be aware of? I've read through and I think the two above are the main ones. It's so nice that we have this wonderful team of friends to help us get up to date on these things. Big hugs to you all!

It took forever to post but it did and the bonus I got for doing the Airmiles shops finally came through. I was beginning to wonder.

We got come Norton software so it was actually a virtual delivery.

NO! Sorry for yelling but i want to make sure you understand this
dollarama is NOT a partner, the only way you can make this particular offer work is to have it linked to your Airmiles card and spend $30 to get 10 miles. That is the card link offer

the spend threshold has nothing to do with the week long offer you still still earn miles connected to simply using the Mastercard

Thanks. That clears it up nicely. I might have goofed I always use the linked card at AM stores, so Dollarama will be good, as long as I spend $30. Then, Shell and/or Metro (or an airmilesshops) as long as they earn 1 base point. Thanks, Jacqueline!

Perfect, that will work to complete all 3 offers. A tiny glitch on the gas though is that even though you will earn 1 mile per litre on Monday for the Shell specific offer, you won't trigger a BASE mile unless you get 20L. If you're wanting to make SURE that you get a base mile at Shell just pop into the store and pay $5.00 for something.

Yes, the offers should all stack together (super jelly that you have an extra one!) You could end up earning a bunch of miles with a very small outlay of cash.
Your plan of Dollarama linked offer & paying for at least 20L of gas at Shell with your BMO MasterCard will trigger 3 offer get 300 miles. I don't have the extra one you do so I'm not sure if the Dollarama offer counts?

I’ve got the 500 on my account but only 145 on DD’s account. On hers I made an online purchase that said it earned 10 miles/$20. Normally that merchant is 1/$20 and it did not say anything about the 10 being a bonus. However, the miles posted as if it was base and bonus. I guess that is how they are doing the math these days.

I've noticed that the way the miles post for online transactions is different on the app compared to the website - one says if there was a multiplier or not. Ok so looking for an example and now noticed that on BOTH it has changed, yet again, so that there are 2 separate posts on the same day but neither one says if it's base or the bonus. Must admit that I shudder every time I hit the complete transaction during any kind of promo because I have really bad luck!

Heads up on Shell offer. In July for the one day offer, I put in a couple litres on two accounts and filled up using my account. The accounts I filled less than 20L did not get the Shell 1am/litre bonus. Not sure if you need to earn a base mile to get bonus miles, it doesn't say that in the terms and conditions, but it didn't work.

Huh, that's odd, it certainly doesn't read that way to me either. Our car is so small that we can barely squeeze 30L in the tank so unless it's running on fumes I tend to ignore these "one day" promos.
