Okay, all you smart Airmiles hunters! I am hoping someone can let me know if this will work.

I have 3 Shell offers in my app.

1. 100 bonus miles when you earn at least 1 AM at a participating Shell location
2. 10 bonus miles when you spend $5 or more on any in-store product
3. 20 bonus miles when you buy 1 participating gift card in store

So, my question is this: If I buy a $50 Amazon gift card, would I qualify for all three of the offers and receive 130AM?

I would say no, you'd need to buy something else in store as well. Giftcards do not earn base AM so you won't earn the 1 to get the 100 bonus, and they don't count as an in-store product so you wouldn't get that one either.

I drive a plug in hybrid so I cannot remember the last time I went to Shell for gas, the 2-3 times a year I do fill my car up, I tend to do it at Costco because the price is so much better there!

So, if I go to Shell and get the following:

$50 gift card
Car wash
$5+ of in-store something or other

Would that get me:
100AM for the earn 1 AM bonus
10AM for the in-store bonus
25AM for the car wash
20AM for the gift card bonus

For a total of 155AM?

As I said above, I never go to Shell but if I can get 155AM by buying things I will use ($50 at Amazon, car wash which my car really needs, $5 on some snack or another) then it will be worth it to me.

That should do it! If you can find a snack that has bonus AM on it as well, might be even better

I read today that apparently burning coffee drives wasps away. Put a pile of coffee grounds on something fireproof, burn then with a lighter, and it apparently works! Smells like burnt coffee but between that and wasps, I would take burnt coffee.

Anyone get last week's Metro Airmiles but no bonus miles from the big coupons?

Is Airmiles now taking longer to post bonus miles? I also filled up with Shell and didn't get any of the promised bonus either, although I was opted in and I haven't received any of the airmilesshops bonuses either.

I still have an airmilesshops bonus missing from a purchase on Aug. 21 that was supposed to be get one mile and get 100 AMs. I got the miles but no bonus.

How is it so hot? Hotter today/yesterday than it was all of August! I'm melting!!

I'm copying my own post from another thread in case some of you don't read all of them because I think you will all understand my level of excitement over this

I just got an email from WestJet that has a link in it to apply for their credit card and we're going to jump on it this time before the offer expires (last time I was too slow to take advantage of it)

• Annual Fare waived for the first year
• FREE companion fare the first year ($119 the next year)
• Up to $450 WestJet dollars $250 after 1st transaction and and extra $200 if you spend $5,000 in the first 3 months
• Free checked bag

I need to look a little closer to the terms of the free companion fare because I think it might not apply to Premium fare and I figure why not splurge if one fare is only $119 but if it covers only Economy I'm still fine with that, free is free! This might be worth looking into for anyone else who is looking to save money on flights - if you earn the full $450 before you need to book your flight the ENTIRE flight for 2 people will only cost you the taxes & fees

I'm actively working towards getting an annual pass with our miles, just waiting on one straggler post from our Metro to the secondary card and then I can submit the request to the Personal Shopper, Finger's crossed this is something they will get! We're in the middle of planning 3 trips over the next year and since we're WestJet loyal this card ticks off a lot of boxes! One wrinkle will be that we're away over the Black Friday/Cyber Monday weekend and I don't think I can book flights while out of Canada - more research is needed! We both desperately need some wins to balance out the storm we're hip deep in at the moment

OT..with Black Friday approaching...we are in need of a laptop and tower,,,dont know much about computuers,,,ares are over 10years old...just know we need 500g to 1 tb of memiry for wifes pics and videos.
Anyone with knowledge for thoughts...dont do more than browsing, pictures, and the Dis...lol..no need for gaming.

I thought it was the 30X we were hoping would work. I got the 5X on the GC I purchased. Still waiting for the 30X on the 10AM for purchasing $30 worth of stuff at Dollarama.

Yeah, those still haven't posted but I'm glad that the 5x worked on my gift cards, as you can see, we spent a tad more than the required $30

It would appear that BMO tallies the spending at Dollarama for the week (probably Sunday-Saturday) and then calculated the 5X bonus based on that. I kept track of two different weeks and the posting seems to work. Time will tell if it continues.
