Planning our first Disney trip for the week after Thanksgiving 2011. Have a few questions since we're not very familiar with booking flight/car packages.

Coming from Columbus, OH Nov 26 and returning Dec 3, Orbitz is offering packages for flights for all 5 of us and rental van for the whole time for around $1700. My questions are:

Anyone booked flight/car packages this way before? Does is go pretty smoothly?

We dont know much about AirTran, are they reliable?

Does this pricing seem reasonable? It works out to about $340 per person and I'm on pins and needles with the debate to grab it or hold out hoping for a better deal but worried it might go up.

Hi I just saw your post. I looked at Aitran booking directly using your criteria. I found Nonstop flights for 5 people with tax for $1202 total. I looked on www.carrentalsavers.com for car rental rates and on www.Budget.com. Thru Budget if you use BCD code X474200 and coupon MUGZ029 ($30 off at time of return) you can get a Fulsize(Impala), Premium ( grand marquis), Standard SUV(Ford Edge), or Minivan(Dodge Grandcaravan) for $220 with tax = $302.96.

By booking your airfare and rental car seperate I get a total of $1504.96 which comes to around $300 a person. This is about $200 cheper than booking them together.

If it were me Id book seperate and use that $200 to do more things in the park. Airtran is a reputable airline and I have heard nothing but good things about them. I havnt flown them but my best friend did and loved it. Used Magical Express to get to Disney had a great time. Either way I hope you have a great trip.
