I have a couple of questions, we are flying out of Nashville to ORlando Saturday. We are traveling with a 10 monh old "lap baby," will his backpack be considered as my carryon? Also do we need to do anything special to gate check his stroller?

Next question is can I pack Lysol in my luggage? I would like to be able to spray things down before I let him down in play in the hotel room!

My last question is I plan on carrying my breastpump and was wondering if I can just put it in my luggage or if I need to take it as a carryon and through security? I want to do what is safe for the pump but it would be out of the way if I just put it in my luggage!

Thanks for any input!

Each ticketed passenger is allowed to carry on:
one carry on (within airlines limits) and one personal item. So likely the backpack would be (1) personal item. So for 2 ticketed passengers you should be able to carry on (2) personal items and (2) carry ons.

You can pack lysol in your checked bag. ( I would put it in a big old zip lock bag though incase it leaks) or maybe pack a roll of clorox wipes?

Re: breastpump I would check the tsa's website. I would try to carry it on if you could because it wouldn't be too good if it was lost or arrived broken.

No...you CAN'T pack lysol. It is NOT considered a toiletry item. Toiletry items are ONLY those you can use ON yourself. Lysol is considered a hazardous material.

I work for TSA.
