has anyone used these to book hotel?we used these a nuber of times to hire the car but this is the first time for a hotel.

we wanted a hotel for 10 days but the website was playing up so had to ring in reservation. to cut a long story short the 9 days went through ok but they had to book the 10th day separately.

not reassuring is the invoice for 9 days that went through and an email saying that our hotel is on request and awaiting confirmation.

it will be half term whilst we are away and everything is quickly being booked up.

Im afraid we have only used them for Car Hire, never had a problem there.

We use Hotel.com for hotels in Orlando, very competitive prices.

If they don't confirm the 10th day you can get them to cancel the other 9 free of charge although you may need some 'proof' you asked them for the full 10 days, its typical of them so don't worry too much, you will be alright

Dont want to worry you but I used them and would be very wary about using them again. Booked 2 hotel rooms through them for Dubai, but when I got invoice it said only one room booked. Called them, but they had "lost" file. Said they would call back. Chased them up three days later, no-one had dealt with it. By this time no rooms left so they had to fax out to hotel to try to get another room. Said they had done this. However, invoice kept saying one room, called again - said they didn't know what had happened would ring hotel. Asked to speak to Managing Director - he looked into it and confirmed there were two rooms booked. Rang hotel myself to check - there were two rooms but caused a lot of worry. When tickets came only voucher for one hotel room - had to chase them for another voucher. Also asked them to book courtesy airport pick up from hotel - said they had done it but again rang hotel myself to confirm but no record of booking. Booked it myself - may as well have booked with hotel direct saved myself lot of worry.

I totally understand, they are certainly NOT the most helpful or organised company, they put all there trainees in the USA and 'Rest of the world' departments, the only time they are reliable is during australia/new zealand itineraries

I've used them several times for flights and hotels, with no problems at all...they've always been really good value and very helpful.
Last time I used them was at short notice - needed a flight and hotel at 3 days notice - they went out of their way to help, and came up a lot cheaper than anyone else.

Sounds like I've just been rather lucky with them in the past, but I'll certainly continue using them in the future.

I always try to use airnet for Hotels and car hire. Last year we stayed at the Homewood suites by Hilton near universal. Other people staying there had paid around £100 per night we paid £22 per night per suite thru airnet (including breakfast and managers evening reception). Was worried when we arrived they were going to tell us it was wrong price but no problems at all.
Don't think you can beat them for car hire service.

We had a horrendous experience with Airline Network this year - which I have discussed in the past on this forum. We would NEVER EVER use them again. They may be fine when things are straightforward - but they are absolutely awful when something goes wrong with your booking. They seem to be totally unable to sort it out. No ownership of the problem - people promising to ring you back but not doing, never being able to speak to the same person twice, being passed from department to department - I could go on and on....

As someone said to me at the time - the true test of a company like that is how they deal with problems - in our opinion, they don't!

Sorry for the rant - but I spent a lot of time, energy, money and worry trying to sort out my holiday after they let me down.
