Hi Everyone,

First let me thank you for the information on my previous post in regards to getting to Aulani. :thumbsup2 My question now is...do you use the airline directly to book your flights or what??

So far the airline flight is the most difficult part of the wedding planning. Especially when flying with two little ones. :scared1:

Your advice is greatly appreciated and such a help, so thank you in advance.

I always book online directly with the airline using their website. We fly Southwest or Jetblue because bags fly free and no charges for seat assignments!! Not sure if they go to Hawaii or not though! I'm forever checking prices even after I have booked airfare (they give credit towards future travel if the price goes down!) Sign up for e-mail notifications from the airlines and they'll let you know when they are having sales! Good luck with your planning!! :)

Im not thinking Southwest or Jet Blue are options to HNL-i know they are not from my part of the country. I use the on line search tools like Kayak and on line consolidators like Orbitz to monitor until i find a fare that suits me-then if it is on a single airline ill go and price it on their site and be sure i can get the same routeing and price -if i can not i go thru the consolidator. A couple of examples-one trip to HNL the cheapest fare from DEN was 502/pp-however that was on a Frontier flight to LA then changing to Contenintal-had to book that on the consolidators site ( orbitz) because of the change in airlines. But it was more than 100 pp cheaper so it just made sense. Another example-a couple of years ago went to Italy in the summer-it was an open jaw flight-best available price was 1460 pp on Delta-however when i went to book on deltas sight the only routing they would give me on the return was Rome,Atlanta, Colorado Springs-and the timing would have given me a 17 hour lay over in atlanta. By booking on the consolidator-again orbitz I got Rome, Detroit, Salt Lake, Colorado Springs-that extra leg was a pain but got me home 10 hours sooner for 50 bucks less. So you have to check all the options and decide whats worth more-convience or $$$ sometimes.
