Airline discount for Philadelphia area travellers

PHILADELPHIA--JUNE 1, 2004-- Frontier Airlines now flies
non-stop to Los Angeles from Philadelphia. To promote this
new route, Frontier just announced that you can take 10% OFF
the fare if you book by June 5. That means you can fly non-
stop to L.A. for $88 each way ($176 roundtrip).

Travel is valid all the way to November 17, and there is a
14-day advanced purchase required. There are also blackout
dates around the 4th of July (July 1-3, 5-6) and Labor Day
(September 2-3, 5-6).

Why is it cheaper for East Coasters to fly to DL than Utahns??

One of those weird things... I flew to Orlando (4 hours) for 220 and will be flying to Anaheim (1 hour) for 180...

The reason the Philadelphia area is getting such amazing
airline fares is the price wars going on right now. When
Southwest and Frontier moved into the US Air territory
at the Philadelphia Airport in February and March, a price
war developed to attract passengers. As a result, we
are reaping the benefits!

I got amazing RT airfare during the beginning of this
from Philly to Orlando -- the cheapest I have ever
paid. Right now, all the airlines are offering one-way
to LA for $88 and one way from/to Orlando for $79.
I just hope those prices stay long enough for me to
book next year's airfare for the 14-day DCL Panama
Cruise from LA (which would be about September).
