We are thinking of using the Tiffany Car service for return trip to airport. Can we still check-in for our flight and check our luggage on the morning of our departure at the resort and then just go with car service to airport later in the day?

We've checked in a Guest Services in MK as well. Had some time to kill so walked in and had them check us in and print boarding passes.

RAC (resort airline check-in) is a separate service from DME, and therefore does not require you to use DME. Think of it as curbside check-in, except the curb is about 20 miles from the airport.

No problem will be able to check in with luggage at Polynesian before we go over to MK. Just was not sure if I could that if not taking DME. Thanks
You can use Resort Airline Check-in (RAC) at the resort where were staying. If you were staying at Disney's Polynesian, the answer is yes. It's just like curbside check-in at the airport, but it's only for registered Disney resort hotel guests.

Out of curiosity, what advantage do you find in paying $65 + tip one-way or $115 + tips roundtrip for a Tiffany Towncar instead of taking Disney's Magical Express (DME)? I agree that a nonstop private ride is better than traveling in a motor coach that can make several stops, but DME is free.

Well actually I may be rethinking that plan...I am coming to Polynesian with my nephew who has several disabilities we r doing split stay 2 nights at POP cause he loves that place but we always have problems with him getting seat on bus. He is not in a wheel chair but can't stand on a bus. Going to. Poly for the monorail and boat transportation. Thought private ride would be better for him less waiting, grocery stop on the way and we would have our luggage with no waiting.

PS(we are from Maryland also)

The ME buses do not allow standing. You can take your luggage on the bus with you (well, it goes underneath the bus) - just don't put the luggage tags on them.

Disney's Magical Express uses motorcoaches (long distance buses with airline-style seating), not city buses. The number of passengers assigned to each Magical Express motorcoach does not exceed the number the seats.

The advantage of Magical Express over a car service is being able to skip baggage claim. Yes, you have to wait for the motorcoach to be loaded and dispatched, but, when you use the free Magical Express luggage delivery, there's no waiting for checked bags to appear at baggage claim and no shlepping them through the airport or the resort.

Experienced Magical Express users have learned to take carry-ons with anything they need the first day (Florida clothes, sunscreen, swimsuit, etc.), along with the usual things one should always put in a carry-on (fragile and valuable items, medicine).

That way, there's no need to wait for bags at the airport or at the hotel room. Because Disney pays the inbound bell services gratuity, you don't have to be in your room when the bags are delivered.

With Magical Express, there's no grocery stop, but there are other ways to get groceries and beverages, such as using a grocery service such as WeGoShop.

Good point. maybe I should read more carefully.:bitelip:

;) Not a problem. Just didn't want them to think they would be able to take their luggage to MK to do airline check in.

Although folks will know that they can check in for their flights at Guest Services at MK especially SWA passengers needing to check in 24hs early
