I am keeping watch on airfares for an upcoming disneyland trip from Vancouver. Right now the cheapest air I can get to LAX is $350 cdn. Out of Seattle it is about $290.
BUT....to go to Orlando from Seattle I can get it for $205 each! Its twice as far!!! Whats up with that? I am thinking of just switching to the World and use what I save on airfare for what it will cost extra in passes!

What airline is offering rates at $205 to Orlando? That is a great rate! We have been to DL twice and to WDW three times and I would rather go to WDW anyday as there is so much more for our family to see. We always fly out of Seattle as we live in Kamloops, B.C. and it is not much farther than driving to Vancouver. Plus, you have already passed through customs so that hassle is over with. If you have never been to WDW, I would certainly consider doing that. Let me know what you decide.

That is exactly why we are going to Florida! We normally go to Disneyland but we got the $205 flight and when you need six tickets that is a considerable savings (Continental Airlines (stopover in Houston). If you can time it so you are going during value season and can take advantage of some of the codes (we got POP for $55) then you can save enough for your passes.
See you in Florida!

This is also why we are seriously contemplating WDW during spring break in 2005. Airfares out of Seattle to Orlando are the same or cheaper than flights out to LAX or SNA!

We got a quote from Dreams Unlimited using the BDP code for the Coronado Springs Resort -- Mar 25-Apr 2 nights for $127.00 USD/night. Very tempting.

On the flip side though, hopper passes are more expensive in WDW than for DL. At DL you can now get a buy 1 adult pass, get a child's pass free. I think this special is effective in Jan 2005 to April 16, 2005. Too good to pass up, IMHO.

I am driving my DH crazy these days flip-flopping between one and the other!
