Airfare

I'd sooner pay $50 more per person one way then fly AA. I absolutely LOATHE AA. I've never once had a even moderately easy time dealing with them. And if a flight gets rescheduled/delayed/cancelled due to weather, you may never get home. And when you do, you'll feel like you flew threw hell, you're bags will still be in hell, and your party will definitely be split up. Well, that's been my experience more than once. Never again.

I'm with you on AA. About 2 years ago I added AA to my "Evil Incarnate" list along with Chase bank! :rotfl2:

Including problems I have had with AA, it is so much easier/less stress to fly out of Love Field in Dallas. I can not wait till 2014 when the Wright Amendment ends and airlines can finally fly non stop out of Love Field.

Also, keep in mind that the prices of flights (from Southwest) can change drastically, even from day to day. One day a flight will be $300, then next $175. Seriously. If your plans are flexible, keep checking back multiple times a day before you officially book your air fare if you feel like Southwest is too expensive for the current quoted price.

And if your trip dates are flexible, use the calendar. A flight on Tuesday might be $100 less than the exact same flight on Thursday.

I agree with this. When the schedule opened for August round trip from Dallas to Orlando was pricing out round $500. At that point I didn't have a trip planned. Then one day low and behold the rates dropped 50%. Since I booked I have lowered our total cost $43. Sure that isn't much but it's nice to know I have $43 credit towards our next flight. :)
