Well, it's finally starting.

For the longest time my 2 trips, the end of August and Oct/Nov, were well over $200 here in Boston.

Today you can get $170 - $190 in August non-stop and you can get $181. in Oct/Nov.

I hope this helps some of you! Go check it out. AA and Delta/Song have come down!

Of course they've come down.......I just booked my flights on Monday!!!!!!!! There's about $25 difference. My timing is once again......impeccable!!!!!

Oh sorry! That always happens to me too!

I just bought mine yesterday but mine happen to be the same today but I won't be surprised if mine go down before our trip!

I started checking flights for our May trip a couple weeks ago and the best deal I could find was $215/person (4) flying out of Buffalo. Last week I found an Airtran rate of $195/person flying out of Pittsburgh (extra 15 min drive) AND it's a non-stop flight! I booked it right away and now checking today the same flight is $235/person.

I think I'm going to stop checking and consider ourselves getting a great deal! Considering that last year we paid $175 with a layover I'm very happy with this rate.

Now to find a good deal on a rental car.

Song/Delta's prices were ridiculous. We are flying jetBlue in Feb.

Well, I did go over to JetBlue's site and priced out my same flight there. I came up with the same price as Song's. Now, if there had been any big difference, then maybe I would make the change but as long as the prices are within $15 or so, I'll stick with Song. I'm not changing just for the sake of change.

We are flying Song in a week to Orlando. :bounce: :bounce: :hyper: :hyper:

Then in February, we are flying JetBlue to Tampa. Hmmm, I think I better go check our Song flights, and see if there are any changes!

I agree with you I would not change just for the sake of changing either. We are flying jetBlue in Feb and I will be flying Song the end of Feb for work. I used to be very loyal to Delta but jetBlue's reputation and prices and Song's high fares until recently I will now go with the cheaper $ with schedule considerations. My jetBlue prices in both cases were $175. range where Song was $232. (no I'm not gouging work with a higher fare I had a coupon for Song to apply toward that $232 fare) ;) I have noticed that Delta appears to have reduced their discount and FF seats more than in the past. I've called and gotten quoted a high fare and commented that the plane seating chart is wide open and been told the discounted seat(s) were booked. I jokingly asked "what were there 3?" and she laughed and said "maybe a few more will open up later" That was interesting to me.

For now I am just going to try to take advantage of some good old fashion competition in the airline market I utilize and hope that I may benefit from it! :teeth:

Well, maybe there is still hope then! I keep looking at seating charts on planes that are 90% open, and wondering why the fare doesn't go lower!:headache:

Well, as an update, Jetblue's prices already came down from when I booked my August flights on January 8.

By checking today, I saved another $45. I will used that credit toward my October/November trip.

Just a heads up!

Urgh.....I need November dates and it looks like Jet Blue only goes out to October. I'll have to keep waiting and checking!

I know how you feel because my big Disney trip is Oct 30 - Nov 7 and I can't book it yet!!!!

But at least now I have a $45 credit toward it when I do get to book it which is a good thing because my return is on a Sunday and from what I can tell they charge quite a bit more for returning on a Sunday!!
