Airfare sale!

Happy for you guys getting deal. A bit upset at Southwest since their email to me says anything 1500+ miles.... well San Francisco fits that category, and yes they have flights, but this deal does not apply to San Francisco... *pout*

Funny thing too is I could book a flight from SFO to Las Vegas, then Las Vegas to Orlando for $160... if I book direct from SFO to Orlando (and there's a stop in Las Vegas) it would cost $219. Might have to do like my last trip to Maui, book one way there, then wait until I can find a discount ticket on the way back.

I know this isn't the right forum for this.....but for the life of me I didn't know which one WOULD be!
Just guessin' here, but I'm thinking the Transportation Forum . . . .:happytv:

The fares for our January dates on Allegiant went UP about $50 per leg from the last time I looked. Trying to decide whether to wait and see if they go down, or try DirectAir.

I grabbed 65 bucks each way, and now I'm going for the marathon!!!

Last week I booked flights from Bloomington to Orlando for the end of January at $69 + taxes each way. This week the sale fares are $65 each way - although my non-stop going down is now $131! I don't think I'll ask AirTran for a $4 credit for the return flight. :teeth:

which airline?

So say I schedule now (RT currently through AT is $252 pp) and these deals become available for my dates/flights...I can just call AT and they will refund to my CC the difference in price?

Thanks for any help! I'm hoping I can get better than $252 - that's a little pricey for us!
Not to your CC account. It is credited to your AirTran account and can be used for any purchase within a year...baggage, air fare, business class upgrade, assigned seating, etc.

Thanks for posting this. I always check on Tuesday morning but didn't this week because I was bummed about weeks of checking and not finding anything I could/would pay for. Was thinking I was just going to have to wait a few weeks and then pay REALLY high prices after my next paycheck showed up.

I managed to get seats this morning direct 2 1/2 hour flights from our little home town airport! YEAHHHH! I was figuring we would have to drive 3 hours to Chicago and still pay more than I was willing. You saved me over $300 AND six hours of driving time.

Thanks!

Should I thank you, or curse you?

I just booked a January trip, cuz of this thread. $151 / PP / RT. Ridiculous. Practically free....

Glad I could help so many people! :thumbsup2

And CathrynRose....sorry about that! Maybe I'll run into you! :)

I'm not seeing any great rates for my area or dates. We have never flown to Disney because airfare has always been high.

I never knew you could ask for a credit. :woohoo: I'm so excited! I have a $144.00 credit. Time to plan another trip.

Thank You for the heads up!:worship::worship:

Gotta love a great SW airfare sale :cool1:

we were driving 1.5hrs each way to save $300 (5 of us)
got our flights changed yesterday...now we are 15mins from airport and saved the original $300 plus another $150 credit.
sure wish we could use our credit on early check in.

Hey, thanks a ton for this post! I was able to book tickets for our trip in January for $400 RT from my desired airport, instead of $600 from the airport 3.5 hours away! Only bummer was I wasn't expecting to buy them so soon... But I saved a ton of $$$$!!!!
