Hi,
It's been awhile since our last WDW trip and I'm wondering what is a good airfare from the Seattle area? We are travelling around Christmas so I know it's going to be higher than other times, but around what price range should I consider good? Our dates are 12/18-12/25 or 12/26?? Thanks! :goodvibes

It is early but I do see flights from Seattle - Tampa for those dates with Continental or United for $370 inc taxes. Short drive just over an hour across the I4 to Orlando. Considering it is peak travel time those fares don't look too bad to me.

Thanks for the info :goodvibes. We are going on the Disney Dream on 12/18 and then WDW for a few days after, not sure if we want to fly into tampa or not but I'll talk it over with DH. Thanks again!

It's always a gamble. $300 rt sounds good. To that add $25 per bag each way. I assume United/Continental is not a non-stop.

You might want to look at Alaska which has non-stops.

You could wait for a couple of months and see what Southwest has. That would have a connection, but your bags will be no charge.

Web sites worth checking are www.kayak.com and www.southwest.com.

I'm going in May and in September. Fares have pretty steadily been in the $360-450 range, depending on travel days. I booked September using FF miles, but I haven't taken the plunge yet on May's flights. I'll need to soon, though!

Good luck!

I have found fare for $423, I was thinking I should jump on that but don't want to buy it too early. There are 5 of us total so I'm trying to get the best price I can. Thanks again for the help

Bing has a fare cast thing that predicts whether prices will go up or down.

Our Easter week airfare was $800 each. I've never been to WDW in December. They're predicting airfares to go up significantly by May because of fuel. They could be wrong. But I would buy anything less than $400. That's a steal, especially during the holidays. My direct flight from SEA to MCO in June on Alaska would have been more than $600. I used frequent flier miles and got the trip home in first class. It cost me 40,000 miles and $7.
