Hi all
We usually travel on jetblue but usually travel off season sept/oct

Can anybody give us an idea what a good rate would be in 3rd week or so in feb?

Thanks in advance

Jetblue Bos to Orl Feb 26th 170.00 one way...Non stop morning flight.
We could of paid 99.00 one way for a 9pm flight and 6am return non stop.

ok the 99 flight is what we paid this last Sept so not to bad, I remember the days in the 1990's when for the family of four it was costing us 1200 round trip and that was considered good. lol

Thansk for the help

Hey Rocky

That is too funny my NH car plates are DZNY4US

great minds think alike

If the third week of February is Presidents week, then the prices can be high. We always book 331 days out for that week and the lowest we could get it this year was $308 round trip including taxes and fees. These were not nonstop flights though. We always check later and the prices are never lower than when we book early.

Be sure to check out when vacation starts. As soon as the airlines know when vacation weeks are up here, the prices go up...and they go up for the days preceeding the vacation week, as well as a day or two after vacation week ends. The price almost doubles!!!!

I too would recommend choosing another week. We had planned on going this February and I knew the rates would be high but they were out of sight for vacation week (500.00 r/t for each of us Yikes!). We are going in June instead and didn't even pay 500.00 for all 3 of us. We are flying Direct Air out of Worcester as we live there. I would not recommend flying Direct Air in February out of Worcester thou as they have many delays and I have heard many complaints about it from friends. Good Luck!

3rd week of February is President's Week (aka February School Vacation Week) and is notoriously expensive to fly out of the Northeast.

We fly this week every year, sometimes into Orlando, sometimes into Tampa, and sometimes into Ft. Myers, depending on our plans.

This year I think I did REALLY well. Round trip, non-stop on JetBlue BOS-TPA and RSW-BOS (into Tampa, home from Ft Myers). We paid $239 per person, all in.

However....I booked these tickets as soon as they became available. I basically have a benchmark of a 'price I can live with' and if I find something that meets my needs price and schedule-wise I book it.

We flew Delta for years, as they can be booked at 331 days out, however, they seem to have eliminated most of the non-stops from BOS to Florida, and flying in February, I do all I can to avoid stops and/or connections. JetBlue has become our default carrier. They can only be booked 6-8 months out.

For me, if I can find non-stop tickets, for $300, for President's week, I book it. If I can find it for less than that, I'm THRILLED.

We also try to skip out a day or two early to save a little bit. This year we left on a 6pm flight out of Boston, on Weds the 15th, and DS only had to miss 1 1/2 days of school (Friday was a half day) before vacation

apologies for the dissertation, but this week is so tough, I like to share whatever I can to help
