Airfare advice please

Am I crazy (please be kind on that one)? I booked bounceback for next year - Sept 16-25. I was checking airfares just for fun today (ok, "fun" might be stretching it) and it would come to $481 for the two of us from Syracuse on United. At best, we pay that for each of us from Ottawa, and the times for these flights are great too, allowing us to drive each day. Am I nutty to be buying so far in advance??

I always book my flight early! I would take it (as the price of fuel increases so might the cost of flying).

This is an excellent point.

Also, if you like the times, then that is very important! The fact that you don't have to factor in a hotel stay the night before is a great bonus too. I'd probably take it too!!!

Thanks Miandrea and Wazzo. I just booked it and am very excited! Price came to $480 for two of us from Syracuse, great flight times and half of what I jusy paid in August. Now if I can just mange to keep this a secret from my daughter, at least for the next 9 months!
