Airboat / Alligator tours

We are wanting to do something different this year, and as we haven't been on an airboat ride I thought we would look at that.

It looks like going to the everglades is quite a trek so can any-one recommend any good airboat tours within an hour or 2 drive of Orlando.

I was trying to find something where you can also hold the baby gators. Is there anything out there that combines the 2?

Just did the 30 minute tour each time.
But only gator to hold is for them to take photos and then sell you.

As Wayne has already posted - Boggy Creek Airboats are fabulous.

Check out their website, plenty of choice of things to do there.

I've never been, but I believe there is a park somewhere close to Orlando specifically for 'gators? Where you can feed them, if not hold them? I'm sure someone else can supply info on that!

We did boggy creek too.
they have 2 locations, we went on the southport one, nice drive down from WDW.

it was in november, so not really "gator season", but we managed to see 2 small gators, but also a lot of birds (including a bald eagle sitting on a telephone pole)

If you booked with WDTC-UK, chances are you get a voucher for a free 30 minutes ride with your travel documents.

If you want lotsa gators, give Gatorland a try. It's the oldest park in the Orlando area and it's worth a visit at least once. You can make it a half day park (went in once at 9 and were done by 2pm)

THEY DO have a Baby Alligator for you to HOLD

It is on the Left side After passing Christmas ( Fort ) on the way
to Titisville & KSC.

You might have to wait so better to phone ahead for Boat time.

THEN after / before Airboat trip visit the Replica Fort at Christmas.

Time to get there is Approx 1 hour
