Just a quick couple of questions to those that have travel by air once again to the US. I have 29 days before my trip and the anxiety is starting to set in.

Before when tou booked with the airline you used to have to put i your passport information along with where your staying. Can you no longer do that before?

Also I saw the paper you need to fill out if you are fully vacinated do you have to print that out.
Thank you in advance,

**sorry for any typos my phone is going and doesn't want to type half the timw.

They don't ask where you are staying.....that might pertain to other countries like Mexico etc. As to vax status...you have to attest to having it and be able to produce the proper docs if asked. When you check in online you don't fill it out you basically just read it (if you want to) and click agree or something similar. Your passport number is required for online check in.

None of it is any big deal....no need to stress over it

With Air Canada we definitely do still have to enter the address of our hotel where we are staying, plus the passport info and so on while doing online check-in. This may be different for different airlines. But we have done two trips so far this year (March and July) and it was the exact same online process as it always has been. The only difference is with ArriveCan but that's when you're coming back into Canada.

Thank you. Yeah I already have the app for ArriveCan and uploaded the documents. Thank you for letting me know it is during the online check in. I remember we could do it before.

Yeah, at one point in the past I remember that they asked a lot of this stuff at the time I booked the tickets. Now it seems to be part of the check-in process 24 hours before. Who knows...it could change again the way things are going...

The US absolutely asks where you are staying as part of the entry process. However, you fill that out when you check-in. Nothing to do with COVID-19, they've always asked for this information (or have for the last few decades).

Entering the address as part of the COVID-19 screening is optional - you either acknowledge that you've entered the right information or that you have decided not to provide it.

Airlines may differ, but UA and Delta both make you upload your proof of vaccine prior to check in (or, if you don't check-in online, you can do at the airport). UA actually asked to see a copy of my vaccine certificate at check-in (I was flying in from Europe on that flight which may be different).

If you have a frequent flyer account with the airline (just need the basic one), you can usually save your passport information (and, sometimes vaccine status), so you don't have to enter each time.

For the record - my last entry into the US was last week, so this is pretty current information.

Yeah I keep checking for the changes. My return flight had changed 45 minutes after I booked it.

My vaccine information and passport information is already in my Air Canada app. It is also more for my friend to let her know the information that is going to be needed. I have the old system of putting information before hand.
