Air Tran vs. JetBlue/Southwest

Looking for opinions....I still havent booked airfare for my May trip yet. Im from Ontario, CAN and can either book departures from BUF or DTW (equal distance from my home and a lot cheaper than airfare from Toronto)...

Anyway in the past year I have flown JetBlue and Southwest from BUF a lot and love their service - not to mention free checked bags. In looking for flights for May I havent been able to find anything thats less than $300 rt per person..in fact JetBlue is coming in at almost $400 right now....

AirTran is having a seat sale right now and I can get a flight rt from DTW-MCO for $178 per person..I realize I will still have to pay $25 each way for bags but that is still at a big savings... Would you wait and see if JetBlue drops their fares or book now at a good price? I have never flown AirTran before...

I fly AirTran between Florida and Mass a lot. I tend to use them if I have to book last minute travel...that way they don't have time to make flight changes on me!!! I have always had good experiences flying with them.
JB is still my airline of choice, but I fly SW as my second choice and as I said, no issue with AirTran to date.

All three are good. Pick the one with the best flight times for you and price.

Thanks for the input..I jumped the gun and went with the cheap AirTran flights...the flight times worked out well and were the dates I wanted for a decent rate...

We're flying BUF - MCO. JetBlue on the way down and SW on the way back. The direct flights and the flight schedules worked best for us. We also knew we would be checking bags, so we took that into account when pricing out the flights. We booked about 2 weeks ago. Both the SW and the JB fares have since decreased, so I called both airlines and now have credits with each airline (have a year to use the credit).
