Air Tran......Overhead Bin Space

We are travelling on an Air Tran 717 (2-3 config).
If we are on the 2 seat side,are the overhead bins smaller?
Will they take our standard 22x15x9 carry-ons ?

I have been on Airtan flights where one side is smaller, as instructed by flight attendant, put my carryon in sideways instead of wheels back. Have a nice flight!
